Hahaha…. You noticed high bidder [emoji51]. Will take about as much to be race ready again. I think I would strip the interior and start over. I know belts, seats, etc are out of date (seats are confusing - but would put in new race seats to fit me.) Who knows….I actually want a 1997 Berlinetta F1 to give me the 1997 Trifecta. This may be a distraction. But I could send it to VA and eventually get on the track with you. I raced a 510 in CVAR years ago. Did the Miata thing too. Budget racing. The 510 was awesome. Loved that car. I tend to be a little aggressive, so restraint would be required in a 355. I guess I would rather drive my Kia on the street and a 355 on the track [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Driving a challenge car on the road is magic. They’re loud, hot, jittery, stiff, high strung, and everything else you’d imagine a race car to be. But, they’re also absolutely visceral like no other car to drive. They’re nimble and quick and provide the bite to back up the bark. They embody the brand like no standard street car or even special version ever could. Every outing is an event and connects you to the brand in special way. You can easily envision yourself experiencing what it must have been like to drive a 50s or 60s competizione car to and from a track back in the day and how absolutely fun and engaging that would have been. The only negative in my mind is the fact they make you wish Ferrari would get back to those roots and build cars that were as captivating and rewarding to own.
If you insist but leave Felix Medina's custom exhaust... Image Unavailable, Please Login Felix made the same exhaust for this car. You'll like the sound... Good luck in the auction!
Ok they definitely aren’t awesome in stop and go traffic, particularly with a heavy on/off clutch. Plus the boys in blue don’t love them (although most don’t seem to care enough to bother you either)! I still say there’s not much more fun… Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was about 95℉ that day. It was fine out on the highway... Image Unavailable, Please Login A couple of times a police car followed me for a couple of miles while the officer checked on the car. Then he passed me and waved.
Holy hell that's awesome. From 16-45 seconds in is magic. The guys covering their ears in the background underline what it must be like in person.
Another Euro Red/Black GTS just listed on BaT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-ferrari-f355-gts-10/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Even needing some restoration work, service, and suspension etc being gone through that was pretty cheap.
Concourse price for not a concourse car? Saw this 58k mile 1996 6-speed GTS. It was at auction on ebay and I think the bidding only went to $55k so now it seems to be posted to make an offer at $189k. hmmmmm https://www.ebay.com/itm/404104832261?hash=item5e16866505:g:3E4AAOSwMyRjmhvg It's a GTS so thats good but it looks like Barchetta? So not a top 3ish color, 58k miles, they don't talk about paperwork, last engine out etc. Won't even pay to show the carfax? Seems they want to hold on till this for another 1 - 2 majors from now Am I missing something?... $189k seems high for a 58k mile 1996! I mean, I might be interested in selling my 1995 F355 Berlinetta, black/tan, almost flawless paint, 32k miles and a $15k major (w/clutch) 200 miles ago for $190k if that's the case.
I think that price is in error. Seems about right for a yellow F1 spider. Image Unavailable, Please Login
