For those who are not VIP enough to buy a Purosangue the nice model from Atelier by Mr Collection SRL could be a form of consolation.

I wouldn't expect anything comparable from the puro's sound system, I work in music for a living and the hifi of every ferrari i've been in has been awful

Was on the fence before but I saw this at the Suvretta last week for the first time and kids, wife (!), and I were absolutely awestruck. The color seemed neon and it popped off of the snow in an absolutely stunning way. Also looked much more compact than I imagined. FF proportions with a bit more beef. Put in a request for grigio ingrid because I may not have the 'sprezzatura' to rock neon red but absolutely wow.

Im looking for the plaque that shows the specs of one of the launch cars- the car with the very dark brown interior. I believe the exterior was some form of silver. The interior was what I’d call “bitter chocolate”. I’m wondering if anyone knows the name/ can repost the plaque. I remember these were posted, and I spent the other day searching and going through the thread looking for pics of the plaques, but I had no success.

Stereo- I think the system in the Lusso is pretty good. But yes, the whole point is the V12.

Winter driving- with the right tires, these should be excellent. Once again, the Lusso is one of the best snow vehicles Ive had- aside from ride height. I was really impressed the few times Ive driven it around in snow with its winter performance tires.

I do worry about the mostly low profile tires- though I see RFT is an option- and I think this suspension *could* help mitigate tire and wheel damage.

I had not ever driven the new Multimatic suspension in any car before a few weeks ago. I drove the 296 with the AF suspension. I was really impressed. The biggest thing was getting back in to my car, which I always thought had great body control, for a few minutes I thought it was all over the place. And thats the Multimatic without all the variable bits of the system they are using in the PS- which should be superior. My sense of things is it will be easy to throw the usual criticisms at the PS- but I have a feeling this is going to defy most if not all of our criticisms and likely impress us.

Jerry, I had a look at all the Instagram pictures posted of the launch cars since the Purosangue was first shown and the one below was the only one I found with a grey/silver car with a darker brown interior (the darker brown could be caused by the lack of light) . All the grey/silver launch cars used by Ferrari seem to have interiors similar to tortora always in light colors.
Your testimony about the 296 Multimatic suspension that you've find impressive, confirms that the Purosangue revolutionary suspension announcement isn't just another marketing trick. I went to the 296 launching and I'm looking forward driving it.

No, I drove a Lusso and FF, and they both melted in the snow. Which was odd because I thought the snow should freeze stuff. After an especially heavy rain session, one of the wheels fell off, and the steering wheel got dislodged.

Same thing with the Urus, Cayenne, Cherokee SRT8, and G wagon. They all say they are winter proof, I beg to differ.

you’re better off with a Hummer (H1, non EV variant)

Don Quixote much? - Or just love beating a dead horse? Not everyone who asks questions is what you refer to as “purist”. ;)

Do you have personal experience driving a Lusso/FF in sub freezing temps with snow/icy roads? If so, perhaps a straight answer would be helpful.

Thank you Mario, really appreciate it. I don't think this is the car though. Thank you to Marcel who was kind enough to send me some info and the interior material is a semi-aniline leather called Fondente - it looks like it's a super dark brown that is nearly black. It has a nice texture. I think I really like it, but need to see the material in person to know for sure.

Covering up those (wheel) aero fairings improves the car- dramatically!!!

Now the rear doesn't look like some Hot Wheels car from the 70s.

I don't know what you want me to say? I did answer it. I said once this Purosangue Purosange hits snow, a wheel will fall off. When I drove a Lusso/FF in snow, the steering wheel also came off.

I understand your confusion though. This morning I was invited by FNA to drive a Mondial in the snow on top of a frozen lake in St. Moritz. I politely declined, as I knew I must have been on Ferrari's naughty list and slated for a hit.

Everybody knows Ferrari and bad weather are simply oil and water.

Hello and thank you for your replies and the good natured jest. My indecision cost me the allocation so the discussion is now purely academic! In terms of winter driving I think the biggest liability will be the battery. My F8 spider accidentally disconnected from the charger for 24 hours during a -40 degree cold spell and the battery is now dead dead… Dealer is advising jump starting it but I want to wait till it’s warmer if the battery is frozen and there is no rush.
