    Is it?? I have no idea about it. What color are datewheels usually? I just decided I wanted a vintage Datejust. I hadn't decided which one to go with 1601, 1603, or maybe one of the five digit models and this fell into my lap, almost literally.

    The gentleman I bought the watch from is a retired military officer who was involved in some fairly significant historical events. This was his daily watch for more than 30 years. He has kids who are independently wealthy and successful in their careers and he wanted to part with it just because he knew they wouldn't care about it. He has some other really cool watches that he has been selling off - a solid gold Rolex Oysterquartz being one of them.

    Pap it actually wears pretty big.
    I have big wrists also and it looks bigger or just as big as my deep sea James Cameron at 43mm

    Great watch!! Factory diamond bezel? And that dial is fantastic!!

    Before I got my DJ I was close to closing a deal on a very similar watch, except with a YG fluted bezel.

    I really like tapestry dials. I have another DJ that is all silver colored. It has a silver tapestry dial.

    Just this week my wife went gaga over one of my co-workers Lady Datejusts with a similar bezel. I may have to start a hunt for one of those. I think she really likes the diamonds on my Daytona, which is why she wants that one - one day.
