Anyone know the wiring for the SPORT switch on the 360? I'm actually going to use it for my 430's valve control. I found this diagram in a 360 wiring document, but I'm an Aero Eng, not EE. I guess I need to know which is ground (I think its GR), the "SPORT" connection to activate the valves, and the connection to illuminate the switch when the lights are turned on. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'd rather not use trial and error...

I'm not sure of the internals on the SPORT switch. However, the codes on the wires are colours (in Italian).

    Best guess:

GR is yellow with red stripe. Pin 3. This is (LED) backlighting power for the switch (12 volts to be supplied here)

MB (brown/white) pin 4 is the signal going to the ABS/ASR ECU on the 360 (i.e. possibly an earth when the switch is activated, open circuit when the switch isn't activated))

NZ (black/violet) pin 2 is a fixed earth.

RG (red/yellow) is a jumper wire between pin 2 and pin 5 (basically to put a fixed earth on pin 5)

Note that Ferrari diagrams show plugs from the wire side (not the contact side). Here's a view from the contact side.

To confirm the internals, put an ohmmeter across pins 4 and 5 to see when you get continuity (switch off or switch on?). Please let me know if my guess is correct.

Are you going to splice the wiring from the SPORT switch into the existing control wiring for the valves (or completely override the Motronic ECU input?).

On the solenoid valves, the violet wire is the power wire. The control wire is blue/red on the left solenoid valve. I'm not sure of the colour on the right solenoid valve.

No I have a Forza controller. I had hard wired it using a generic switch, but got a hold of a 360 sport switch. Now it should look like it more naturally fits.

Thanks for the info. It may be this weekend before I get to it but will let you know.

Sometimes if there are blank slots in a row of switches, there are unused/disconnected plugs behind the blanking plates. You may be able to tap into one of these plugs for backlight power (almost always yellow/red) and earth (black/?). If you use jumper wires with suitable spade connectors, you won't need to cut into wiring (and will be able to restore the wiring to OEM if you sell the car). You will also need to put a jumper wire on the switch for earth requirements (pins 2 and 5).

FINALLY got around to wiring this up last weekend. Thanks Qavion for getting me started! Very helpful. Here's how it turned out...

    Terminal 2 is GRD
Terminal 4 is the switched connection (connected to Forza controller)
Terminal 3 is 12+ for illumination (backwired from adjacent trunk switch)
Terminal 5 is 12- for illumination (backwired from adjacent trunk switch)

I thought Terminal 2 would provide the ground for the 12+ illumination on Terminal 3, but it doesn't. I think because the switch wiring is on a different circuit.

I did use 4 jumper wires between the trunk switch and connector, 2 of which had pig tails that went to the sport switch. Only blew the 7.5A fuse once figuring all that out!

    Cheers

Not sure what's going on here. An earth is an earth. All the other switches have jumper wires across 2 and 5 (according to the OEM wiring diagrams), providing a common earth for switch and lighting. It's only when 5 of the pins are wired up that circuits get complicated.

Anyway, glad to hear you found a solution.
