aaaah the John Meyer! Love it. I have one on order too and it has been a long wait so far. How do Rolex manage to create the impression of such scarcity yet sell one million watches a year?
Also received one last year but believe it or not, I never dared to wear it in real life. Full yellow gold is a bit too much for me. However, I just can’t believe how beautiful it is when I look at it.
Yes I think if you are in your white fluffy bathrobe, smoking a cigar on the back of the mega yacht it probably looks quite good, on the subway, not so much.
A question we all have but truth be told, Rolex, AD's are notorious for aiding and abetting the grey market with selling watches to secondary sellers as we all see new model year watches for sale in the secondary market. How in the world is it possible for most, if not all, Rolex AD's and other top watch brands, have to pay for there Overhead and G&A as they are mostly located in high end shopping centers or stand alone boutiques in high rent districts with 7-9 people standing around empty cases? It's there game within the game and I hope my AD isn't on FCHAT. Lol
I did it myself. I bought a spring bar tool like this one, and it makes it pretty simple. Took me a couple minutes to see how to remove the clasp, but ended up be pretty straightforward. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you and it's been well received by strangers while I've been out and about. In the proper lighting the emerald dial gets the attention of others. Cheers
You are absolutely right. I now see it as my duty to provoke the right opportunity to wear it! I love the idea of the fluffy bathrobe and the cigar [emoji1]
What watch to wear today? As many of you may (or may not) know, today is National Pie Day. Should I wear a real pie pan watch or a watch the size of a mini pie pan, a 52 x 17.5 mm Nixie Tube Watch? Decisions, decisions........ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You can and should wear that watch with a Zegna suit or jeans and t-shirt- Doesn't matter- people who know will marvel at it- people who don't will think it's an ostentatious fake- Who cares- Wear it and enjoy
Today I wore my Rolex 1601. I hadn't worn it in a few days. It just matched my clothes a bit better today. I didn't post yesterday, but yesterday was the Hamilton Ventura. The more I have worn it the more I like that watch. It's just a fun shape with a ton of history behind it. But today is the 1601. I did get a new strap for it, but haven't switched it around yet. PDG
Not to derail, just something I find interesting….. My wife’s DJ stopped working a few weeks ago and now my Sub did the same. Not purchased together, actually many years apart. Carry on. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
After seeing your Ventura last week, it reminded me I should wear mine more often Image Unavailable, Please Login [/QUOTE]
