And the flood gates open! That one '85 U.S. car goes for 8% above what it should and here we go.

Trick or truth, in the auction biz that strategy seems to work like a charm!

Truth! That silver GTB with 120k miles went for solid money also.

Those euro GTBs were going for over $100k. I’m interested to see where the market is now.

Now A parade of listings on deck, market boost was a success for BAT, even no sale cars are making them listing fees.

Kind of unusual for BaT to have 4 QVs live at the same time.

No kidding! I also cannot believe that '79 did not meet reserve at $60,500 especially with "current mileage unknown".

I strongly believe that what hurts 308 prices in general are e few factors,
    1) too many produced (so and Dinos lol)
    2) many years produced, even changes made between years, still same look, body
    3) too many lemons out there. Many cars with stories that hurt the rest
    4) hard to find a legit clean no stories car without any modifications such as electronics, aftermarket equipment etc.
It’s kind of upsetting… even all 4 currently listed cars on BaT are not 100% clean in my eyes. We all want to see higher sell prices but we need to be realistic. When I see aftermarket antennas, radios, amplifiers, wrong wing color, wrong tools, wrong wheels, wrong floor mats, etc I get turned off. I laugh.

Isn't this this true for every single car and model out there? That's why Hagerty has ratings for cars and the market prices them accordingly.

    NO. 1: EXCELLENT
    NO. 2: FINE
    NO. 3: VERY GOOD
    NO. 4: GOOD
    NO. 5: RESTORABLE
    NO. 6: PARTS CAR

But here's where it gets tricky. This sold for $34,500 EUR

Sheehan's GTB QV on BAT is rough. I'm surprised its at 80K. Car has to many stories IMO.

I think Ferrari guys know better. They know what to look for, what is period correct, what hurts the price on a Ferrari car etc. Everyone else gets hyped up or cold feet.

I agree. I've also seen this car in person. There lots of hype of BAT. That is for sure.

I’m always pretty bad at spotting problems on those online auctions. If you feel like it, I’d appreciate your thoughts on what needs work here. Trying to train my eye better. ‍

    Regarding the car in question:
As far as originality and cosmetics:
    1) missing period correct radio
    2) it shouldn’t have a speaker on the driver’s side dashboard
    3) missing color code sticker on the rear bonnet door (usually on the top right)
    4) leather on seats doesn't look original
    5) wrong floor mats
    6) it’s an 85’ so the black wing shouldn’t be glossy black but textured (should almost look like leather)
    7) wrong lights on front rubber bumper (should be only yellow)
    8) front rubber bumper is cracked by the right light.

Not necessarily bad things. I think easily fixable and reversible to OEM specs. However, to my point, that’s why sale prices reflect the condition.
