[/QUOTE] That's OUTSTANDING!!! I have never seen one in the wild before, so when I bought mine a few weeks ago it was the first time seeing one in person. Strangely enough, as I have come to notice watches more and more over the last couple of years I have only come across maybe six people who were wearing Rolexes. I have come across one who owns and occasionally wears an Omega, but nothing really of any interest beyond those. That's one reason I love this thread - just to see all the different watches. PDG
Interesting what you said about seeing watches in the wild. I’ve only seen two Venturas being worn. The Hamilton Flight II and Zodiac Olympos are on my bucket list. I saw a Flight II once but never an olympos.
Well, that's two more than I have seen!! I just find that the shape - being non-traditional - is interesting. It goes against the grain of the normal round, square, or rectangle. That asymmetrical design just holds my interest. I wish there were more people around here who were interested in watches. It seems in some parts of the world that the watch industry has blown up. There are a few people in my company who are into watches to some degree. One has an Air-King, one has an OP and a ladies DJ, then there are three sub-mariners and a DS4k. I saw a 1987 DJ in a grocery store and then a Daytona at a Ferrari Dealership - so I think I mis-remembered earlier. I always keep my eye open for different and interesting watches, but in the last two years I think that's all I have seen other than the usual Timex, Casio, Seiko-type watches. PDG
Thank you for your kind compliments. Every watch has a story. I bought that Pie Pan from my best friend on 8/2/15. He bought it new 3/27/68 for $84.95. Yes, I have the B&P with his original sales receipt.
Chose to wear the Ventura again today. The Ventura and Datejust are getting quite a bit of wrist time lately. PDG
Just got my 2017 Daytona back from a factory service and polish. It looks new again. Image Unavailable, Please Login
16220, although I can’t seem to take a good picture this morning to save my life. Time for coffee! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I absolutely love the Platona. I have never seen one in person but each time I see a picture of one here, it causes me to think about it non-stop for days. Good for you! Someday, maybe - not. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Today's choice - my 2021 Rolex Daytona 116503, diamond dial. Somehow, I thought I had worn my Submariner - but looked down and realized I had put on the Daytona - it made me smile!! PDG Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep - Mine too - especially this time of year in CO - We have the same interior- I recognized the red stitching Well I planned to wear the Batman this weekend but seeing your Platona with the Jeep background I may have to wear her little sister (my 116520) and try to emulate the pic! Cheers
