We had a gang over our place to watch the Iggles crush the Giants Saturday night. I had them all singing the fight song before the game was over. Now they are mad at me cause they say can’t get it out of their heads…lol.

I disagree. 'Some' of his throws are as you described, but most of his throws are right on the money.

He is making the throws that Garopollo will never make.

I applaud what Purdy has accomplished. He has done very well in a difficult situation. My observations are solely from what I see and watching replays. His longer throws spend a lot of time rainbowing in the air. If the Eagles put the kind of pressure on him they are known for, it is going to be "Purdy Ugly."

Funny...a couple of years ago we all went down to Miami to see the Eagles Dolphins. The Eagles totally stunk it up and I think the Fish scored four or five touchdowns, which prompts the Dolphins Fight Song to be blasted over the PA, I can still hear it and that jingle tormented me for a couple of weeks thereafter!

Your original comment implied they ALL do that, only certain idiots do.
Go look at the top-50 receivers and you will see very few do that, as a rule.

God I hope not, he sucked in Houston, and Alabama regressed this past year at every position on offense.
Yes, they lost two games by, what, 4 points? They still didn't look that good.

It runs in cycles - you know that, and here's why:

    Salary Cap.

As soon as a GREAT player is at the end of his 'rookie contract', he wants to be PAID.
This is why you generally see 'Dynasties' last 2, 3 years.

I can name you a dozen 'dynasties' that lasted 3 years, then, POOF!

Remember Seattle and the 'Legion of Boom' defense? 3 years.

Pittsburgh has had 2-3 of them over the last 20 years, heck, Look at Philly 2-3 years after their SB win,
Look at Dallas in the 90's, and since then, zip.

The common denominator in ALL 'dynasties' is they lose 3 key players because they cannot afford them,
    and the dynasty is gone.
KC lost Tyreek Hill, but they also lost two other WR's along with him, and in 2 years when guys on defense
want to be PAID, they will lose them, too. KC wins today, but, like Buffalo, their offense does not impress me.

Buffalo will SUCK in 2 years, and so will a whole bunch of other teams that have a bunch of great 2nd and 3rd
year players this season. SF, LAC, Phil, Jets, all of 'em.
Look what Jax did this year - new coach from Philly - yes - but they sucked bad 2 years ago.
TB is going to lose a TON of players this off-season.

No, it's because nearly every time I say ANYTHING on this site it's taken out of context
and I have to write subsequent posts explaining things to the few that don't 'get it'.

Hey, if you feel you are 'being played', then I guess you should stop watching
ALL sports, because even in college now some guys are getting paid more than
    some guys in the pros.
You cannot limit 'being played' to just NFL football.

And I will admit: I seldom watch any NBA, MLB, F1, Soccer anymore, I'd bet you
good money I watch MAYBE two hours total of those sports combined, only so I
can say I have watched, and I still don't care for it/nothing has changed...
Soccer just isn't for me, I don't have the attention span to watch a game that
ends 1-0, 2-1, plus this 'extra time' business...
NBA - nope - not when rich guys decide they want a night off and don't play.
MLB - I can't keep track of who plays for who anymore.
F1 - just plain sucks, when only 6 (at most) cars have a chance to win.

    Two playoff games... four teams.

    What's funny?

The 'Old Man' at QB of all four of the teams playing is Mahomes at age 27...

    IKR!

I would be just as pleased to watch Eagles v Bengals as I would 49ers v Chiefs.
The best game of all might just be this weekend though, 49ers v Eagles. Could be epic D.

You didn’t get your wish. Purdy is hurt and the Niners defense has damaging penalties. Go Eagles!!!

    Love Hurts. Well done Eagles.

Now I can see Brady going to 49ers. They need someone durable.

But what an undisciplined, chippy and cheap shot D the 49ers turned out to be.

Yeah, I expected it from Philly, but not SF.
(sorry Philly fans, but they had a long history of being cheapshot artists...)

EVERYONE is durable (except for Lamar), until they aren't.

SF lost 3, 4 QB's, Hurts has been hurt, Rodgers has missed games, Tua is a disaster,
Tannehill, Dak, Herbert, Stafford, have all missed games this season..

Neither happened...unfortunately...but are you surprised? Did you really think the league would allow SF in the Superbowl with a 4th string QB?

You obviously missed what started that entire episode, what they did to Deebo after they tackled him and then not letting go of his facemask during the scuffle.

Speaking of the officiating, can anyone explain the 4th quarter in the Cincy-KC game? Burrow gets hammered well after he threw the ball, and no roughing the passer call? KC gets a do-over after they are stopped on 3rd down, twice, but are bailed out with a defensive penalty? Hands to the face by the KC defense went uncalled? I could go on and on but what's the point.

Looked to me like they did everything they could to ensure a KC victory.
