Anyone know this car? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-ferrari-308-gts-quattrovalvole-6/ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I don't know the car, however, it looks like a nice clean example. What's going on with the undercarriage? It looks like an oil drip tray to protect the garage floor
Thanks for posting. I missed the Nero 83, wonder what the reserve was on it. Didn’t look to be too bad.
It’s not a drip tray, it’s t for covering the exhaust/catalytic and also the hold the diaper in place.
The tray you are referring to was original equipment to all North American spec. Quattrovalvole. This was not something that someone just decided to stick on there.
So hard to understand the prices ..such a gap and without touching /seeing cars not sure how to price the next one Any one have better insight / tools I thought this was a 100k car not 150k Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
All you need is 2 or 3 highly motivated bidders to create an auction record. Condition of the vehicle, presentation of the auction + one owner = perfect storm for those bidders waiting in the wings for these opportunities
Just so hard to see condition on BAT ..not thinking a ppi either Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Thanks for that Michael. I wasn't aware of that tray on the QV as my '78 308 doesn't have it. My previous '77 and '82 didn't have them either. It just looks aftermarket to me.
I was hoping that car would do well, but $150K was way higher than I expected. Mentally I was thinking $95-105K at the most. The market was hotter last year, and I saw better cars sell for less. But hey, good for the seller!
Sold for $112,500 on 2/9/23 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1985-ferrari-308-gts-quattrovalvole-25/
