The article I read said the owner was moving the car to the third floor....pulled halfway off and the elevator dropped a little....he got out and then boom, the elevator failed and down went the car......

To me it looks like the elevator was on a different floor and someone backed in through the gates (which you can see in the picture) and landed on top of the elevator. Bet they are just blaming the elevator for their own mistake.

So why would the fire department come if the customer was out of the car? Are they not for rescuing people? If my car fell off my lift I am pretty sure my fire department would tell me to call a private company to figure it out. A least in my city it's that way. I curious how that works in this peticular instance.

    From TheDrive:

According to [Palm Beach County Fire Rescue], an “elevator malfunction” was the cause of the accident, which led to a fuel leak from the Ferrari. Power was shut off at the dealership as the vehicle was recovered to prevent a fire.

I see you are not a fan of the Roma. Please share some reasons. I’ve been sort of considering one so I’m curious.

I saw all the fire rescue trucks out front the other day. It looked like they were more in front of the Mercedes dealer but this had to be what was happening.

So, as I also live close to Vancouver, wonder what the FoV dealership thinks about this....
