    Thanks Joe. Yes, I recall asking the question quite a while back; this is the first time from memory I’ve heard Bacchelli & Villa > Carrozzeria Auto Sport mentioned. Things were certainly “unofficially flexible” in Italy sometimes back in the day. The crash testing of the prototype Countach vs the production car and its associated engineering differences certainly prove that point!

    I think I get where you’re coming from with your personal preference for the Countach without the wing. I’d agree for the most part, but for most enthusiasts the wing is one of the Countach’s defining features.

    I'd agree that a lot of people see the wing as one of the Countach's defining features, but not "most" enthusiasts, as these polls show:

    Also, as someone who specializes in these cars, I can tell you that I have seen a lot of wings come off Countachs in recent years.

    The polls on fb have shown the opposite. Really do what makes you happy, it's your car, if you need something that everyone approves of or validation...a Countach is not it.

    I can confirm that when Mario Andretti sold it and I test drove it in California as a result, it had neither the car phone nor the older style non-original steering wheel.

    It was poorly presented and the auction was poorly managed by the owner.

    ZA9C005A0KLA12022 almost finished at the Sant Agata factory in 1990, a one-off livery in non-metallic Viola with Rosso, Guida Destra (Right Hand Drive).

    I was there when this Countach was delivered to Portman Lamborghini UK's Service Center in West London where new cars were delivered, it arrived from Italy along with 2 other red 25ths, coming off the truck the car looked striking.

    Later UK registered H 678 XYY.

    Note that in 1990 Diablo production had started before Countach production had actually finished as seen in the background.

    When I was in junior high, high school and college, I collected virtually every book and magazine that covered the Countach, a collection I maintain today. My favorite books from that era were called Lamborghini Revista (“Review”), authored by the great Stefano Pasini, a series of 5 editions that highlighted the best of Lamborghini. #2 in the series is this must have for anyone who is truly passionate about the Anniversario. This is not for sale, but they do pop-up if you do some digging.

    Very nice car. Delivered new to Alexander Frei, LeMans winner with an impressive Lamborghini collection.

    Needs a major service, detail, tires and the car was delivered without a wing new. The interior smells new, the car is VERY nice. We purchased the car as it represented the best deal of the RM sale!

    Excited to dial it in.
