Thank you for your comment. It's different for sure and I had to mix up my collection with this watch. Cheers

Wow!! Amazing- You definitely won't see someone wearing the same watch across the bar!!

I consider myself a "relatively knowledgeable enthusiast/owner" when it comes to Rolex <by NO MEANS an expert> but had no idea and had never heard of the Artisan 'converted" or "skeletonized" Rolexes. Learn something new every day

I'm sure some purists might balk at this- and generally I am a purist with watches and cars- but this is beautiful, impressive and unique IMHO.

Can't wait to see the Daytona!!

    Cheers

Wow!! Everything I said in post 19129 - But being a fan/owner of a Daytona- As well as a Spike Lee fan- and family in Brooklyn <until they passed> this ticks all the boxes.

    Beautiful :cool::cool:

In honor of the little storm swirling in our watch thread teacup, I dug out of my watch box and am wearing today my 1971 Timex Marlin ($9.95 new) wristwatch.

That bad boy deserves a Speidel Twist-O-Flex! ;)

I wonder if they still pluck the hair on your wrist like they did sixty years ago….

Aaaaahh!!! "Twist-o-Flex"- Wow!! I saved and saved and saved to buy my dad a Seiko- Which for my budget as a 10-year-old was like buying a Platona- He loved it but immediately went to Joslins and bought a Twist-o-Flex for it- the man could not deal with clasps or buckles- Ha!:cool:

Precisely and appreciated- And at $9.95 it is classic and could still be worn with a suit or tux and probably keeps better time than watches costing 10x as much.

Oh and in the spirit of a certain recent <rookie> poster you can actually TELL TIME with this $9.95 watch versus ....... others :cool:

    My everyday watch. Seiko Turtle

I have an original vintage Turtle & a vintage Rolex Presidential put away in a safety deposit box (they were my dad's) but I won't ever wear those. I'll just keep rocking the Turtle until I can afford a SS Daytona, someday.

My first watch was a Timex when I was in kindergarten. After one of the guys here posted their refurbished Timex, I wanted to do the same. I can't find it! So I bought a new one and have come full circle.

And yes, my original Timex was on a Speidel Twist-o-Flex.

That was the goal with the Artisan De Geneve watches and I'm only adding these two watches to my collection from them. Cheers

I once asked why the various watch makers don’t sue each other when they copy each other’s designs.

The answer I got was that no one really is certain who came up with the design first.

Humm. I have a Twist-O-Flex off of the watch I inherited from my dad. You scare me. I like my wrist hair too much to put it on the Marlin.

It'll only sting the first few times you put it on. :D

Saves you the trouble and expense of having your wrist waxed.
