So Alfa tomorrow will be the first actual new car, yes? They already showed an art car of sorts, so hoping to see the real deal tomorrow.

I am really fascinated with the Alfa's floor. What a wild idea that I'm surprised they showed during the launch.

I personally do not like the livery though. I think there should be a rule for a minimum amount of paint. This exposed carbon has gotten out of hand.

it almost certainly isn't their actual floor. More to take the eyes off other bits and/or to get people to talk about the car more.

Agreed about the exposed carbon. Not only are these cars fat and ugly but between the matte paint, the no-paint and the stupid hubcaps, the aesthetics are pure ****. It’s almost like they’re daring us to stop following F1.

And another thing, if I’m the sponsor Camozzi (just the one example) that saw my logo go from a legible black-on-white to a completely unnoticeable white-on-black, I’m asking for a discount or moving to another team or series.

Seeing Leclerc driving the F2003 GA yesterday it was yet another reminder at just how beautiful the cars where not that long ago...not just the sound but just how sleek they were...And those shark gills on the sidepods. C'est magnifique.

Hope that is not real. First time they mesh wheels with another car this will get shreaded (as will the other cars tire;))

So the car reveals are really not the actual cars but various forms of tease and distraction. The whole circus get more and more fake with every passing year. I am so sick of carbon fiber and black mat paint and the new wheels. The cars are just basically too big, and ugly...like hooker with giant Botox lips. That isn't what F1 is supposed to be.

Unfortunately yes. Rules put in place to prevent teams from overstepping the boundaries aren't necessarily a bad thing IMO.

It started with matte paint jobs, and then making black areas carbon, to the point where there is more exposed carbon than there is paint. It's horrible. I don't care if it adds 5 kg to the overall weight.

It's your opinion; there is nothing wrong with exposed carbon, and anyone can see the reason for it.

As for rules, there are enough of them; F1 don't need to add more idiotic ones.

Can somebody tell me, that this is not going to cause big turbulence to the cars behind? This looks to be a massive vortex generator.

The bigger teams, Mercedes, RedBull, Ferrari, haven't adopted this type of rear diffuser(Alfa Romeo C43) for over a decade. I don't see this being adopted by Alfa-Romeo coming in Bahrain just like I don't see the C43's serrated floor being adopted either. These "aero devices" are more than likely meant to stir the hype in the media to bring attention to the C43.....and its working

Just the usual “boat-tail” fairing within the diffuser.

Here’s a link to view the 3D model of the car at all angles:

I like the livery on the Alfa. What I dont get is all the reveals etc.... none of the cars will look the same at the first race, why such hype? just show it and be done with it... launch date etc... all bollocks!

and Ferrari revealing the name of the car in advance? really .... so stupid in my opinion... are we all 13?
