I never tire of seeing a group of Dinos. This is what I get to see on a daily basis with the lineup always changing. This is todays lineup!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is an Eleanor Mustang at the end of the shop. My metal guy is doing it for a guy who also has a ferrari. Not my cup of tea.
Texas is the Dino spot! I had to actually ride my horse to Jon’s. He now has a hitching post out front
Nice to see all different colors! These represent 1970, 71, 72, and 73. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Jon, is the blue Dino Blu Chiaro? I'm trying to figure out the original color of my 1975 Dino 308 GT4, and remnants inside the door panels appear to match the Dino in your shop. Thanks!
FANTASTIC! I love Dino's. Can I move in and pay you just to sit there and absorb the sights & sounds?
I'm like a magnet to Dinos, they just keep showing up. One oddball German in the mix. Image Unavailable, Please Login
and another couple of views as I am working on modifying the Porsche.. (and it happened to be a rainy day!) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do they get sold? Or do you buy them all, restore them all for your own use? I have been there and know that is not true. Many car sales enterprises own their inventory. Many of us, myself included own a Ferrari business, help and advise others here and do not advertise. I do not believe I have ever posted my business name or location.
If you feel I should not be on here it's fine with me. It's a lot of work to organize pictures and post them and answer numerous emails with questions questions on how to do things. I retired 17 years ago and took this up as hobby. I posted pictures of the first two I did having no idea what I was doing. I post pictures to encourage others to be able to do many DIY projects as I have learned a I went along and still learning. I've never advertised a car for sale or have never said one is available. I'm not looking for work and I'm not taking on any work. You would be surprised to learn how many Dinos I actually do own. I realize you have a Ferrari shop close by to me and work on all types of Ferrari's. Don't worry I am not soliciting your customers. I've talked with the powers at FCHAT and they are happy with the traffic I bring to the site. I suggest you complain to FCHAT, if they don't want me to post anymore I'm totally fine with that. I've been posting pictures for 15 plus years and you are the first to complain about it. Thanks neighbor!
jon, Hopefully, the advertising comment was a tongue-in-cheek. I love what you post and have asked a few questions myself that you've been kind enough to answer. Your pictures are more helpful than the shop manual.
Thanks! It’s fun to compare and contrast.. surprising (to me) is that the Dino pulls a lot more in the lower revs.. I guess because the 911S are cammed so much towards the upper end. My 911 is a numbers matching no sunroof LSD “S” in original Albert Blue, which was modified back when they were not worth as much, making it a cool mash-up. Both are wonderful to drive in their own way. The 911 (presumably partly due to the modifications) feels more like a race car for the street, whereas the Dino is a comfy lightweight open-top and nimble cruiser..
Not at all. He is in business and he is advertising in clear violation of the rules. He had the FCA there and it was all about his "Business", not his hobby. If anyone here believes they are all his cars is very naive. In fact the blue one (I think its the same car) was a topic of conversation. It belongs to someone from Germany to as I recall fix a bad restoration. Hardly a car owned by him.
