That is pretty much a perfect collection of the modern special Ferraris IMO. Just needs a LaFerrari to complete the set. I’d happily have any one of them, although I can take or leave the F50.
It looks like I may have just sold Chloe's old car. Question: what is a reasonable "finders fee" if anything at all? These people were directed to me by a guy I know (not a mate as such, but I use his business regularly and consider him a professional friend if you like). I'm happy to send a little his way, but not shore what the norm is in this situation.
That's what I'd want if I was him! Mind you, not a slab of crap beer but a nice bottle of scotch would do just fine. $40k
I guess it depends on ...does he need the money or would a nice bottle of Malt do the trick? I know guys who have done what your guy has done and have never been offered anything! Or like me found cars for people out of friendship/regard and not even thanks.. Nowadays I don't do either I must say if someone found a guy for a car of mine,a real nice dinner would be on the cards .My shout .
And that's the way to go. Has foik all to do with the value of the car,in fact it'd be grossly crass to offer dosh. You're saying 'Thanx' for thinking of me and he obviously thought highly enuff of you to recommend you to the prospective buyer.
Yeah I get it. Certainly won't be ignoring his part played or not acknowledging it. I don't know him that well, but I suspect if anything he'd probably appreciate a bit of cash more than anything as I think he's a bit tight on that front. I have sent quite a lot of work his way over the last few months, for what it's worth, without expecting a discount on the work he does for me.
There is an old saying 'you offer the gift you would like to recieve' It's I'm sure, about the gesture 'One hand washes the other'
Well, sometimes it does have something to do with the value of the car.. I gave a guy the heads up on a classic ,thinking he would keep it ,6 months latter flipped it and pulled 100k...and not even a thanx .
.... and that is going to be your bit of investigating...finding out what sort of tipple he's keen on. Re rob's idea of a dinner, you'd have to be friendly enuff with him and his partner to offer that....otherwise it could be a little awkward,IMO.
