In all of these years, I never knew you were the guy that maintained cars in that area. They all had to be pretty rare

I was the only Ferrari mechanic in Clovis because I was the only one who owned a Ferrari in Clovis in the mid to late 70s.

On a recent drive she started sounding like a straight piped Mustang, ouch !!

turns out the muffler bolts had worked themselves loose and fallen out. This in turn snapped a couple bolts on the exhaust hangers, ripping the rubber bushings.

Have no fear Salvi is here (Christian that is)
Since nothing is ever easy if done correctly, we spent most the day loosening all the exhaust connections (not headers), replacing the donuts, and all the bushings.

She now sounds like a Dino again.

    Just found this thread, brilliant!
Refurbishing for driving as opposed to full restoration, is exactly what Im doing to mine (02908)

Great Martin. Glad there are still some of us out there !
The car lived its life in dry California and doesn’t need restoration. I’ve made it mechanically perfect with beautiful patina and drive it as intended.

Martin, this may not be a full restoration, but the work is exemplary. We'll want to see pictures of your progress...

Absolutely agree, this is the example to be followed. Will post soon. I'll start a new thread to avoid hijacking this one.
