So others have mentioned here that the 599 after the fabspeed 2ndary cat delete pipes do have smoother shifts in race or sport modes when compared to stock.

And I 100% agree. Dont know how or why but my butt meter and all other senses don't feel the banging of the shifts as much any more...much smoother and quicker.

There's no question the car responds better and can be felt on the first drive.

I did the Fabspeed pipes first, then the next season I installed Tubi mufflers with the flaps pinned open. It's not quite like Fabio's exhaust, but it's very close for a fraction of the cost. Much better than the HGTE exhaust.

I have the HGTE with the Fabspeed pipes. I think the HGTE mufflers are similar to the Tubi. I suspect the result is very similar to yours. And yes, it definitely feels VERY different from a stock GTB and it sounds great too.

Ok, ok. Consensus says the quicker shifts are real. Btw, I am still in awe and loving it,, feels like a whole different Carlow!

Now if someone can explain why.

In the past i had the chance to hear HGTE mufflers, mine had Tubis.

Both have the same tube layout and same function, differnt to the stock mufflers which has a different function.

I like the HGHTE more than the Tubis, the HGTE sounds a little bit sharper.
For me the best mufflers for the GTB.

Never heard Fabios in reality, so i can't quote them.

I ordered a Cat Bypass exhaust today for my 599 and a Valve controlled for the stock exhaust from Forza.

BTW - How much are the HGTE exhausts?

No idea but I suspect finding one is the real challenge.

    Hey guys,

Has anyone use Fabspeed's tune with the midpipes? If so, do you recommend it and why?

    Thanks,

    Paul
