https://www.total-motorsport.com/how-can-i-watch-f1-pre-season-testing-2023/ How to watch F1 pre-season testing 2023? In the UK, Sky Sports F1 will show every minute of testing from Bahrain. As has been the case in previous years, Sky and FOM (Formula One Management) will combine for commentating and reporting duties. David Croft, Martin Brundle, Alex Jacques, Will Buxton, Anthony Davidson and Rachel Brookes will be part of the coverage across the three days.
Thanks. Based on that I'm going to assume that it'll be streamed with commentary on F1tV as well then.
This seems to be the consistent plan. With testing so short it would hope to be broadly available! We have so little testing to digest and create our crazy predictions now lol
I don't see how we can honestly consider this a test. They might be able to confirm that the wheels are indeed, round...and that the driver fits in the seat. Otherwise, it is just an endurance "test" of whether or not the cars can go a race distance at 50 to 75 percent power. As well as looking for oil leaks.
Well, we've had this same formula for a complete 9 years....and going on 10 for 2023. Ferrari needs to work on their reliability more than anyone else.
Haas was the first team to announce how the test days will be distributed among the drivers. On Twitter the team shows at what times Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg will be in action during the test days in Bahrain. From 23 to 25 February, the Formula 1 teams will all be on the track at the same time for the first time this year. At the Bahrain circuit, the teams will have three days to test the new cars for 2023. The first race will follow a week later, also at the Bahrain circuit. Recently, several drivers have criticised the format of the test days. Lando Norris, among others, has indicated that three test days is very short, as that leaves only one and a half test days per driver. An engine problem or other technical defects could limit that even further. Little surprising distribution Haas has opted for a safe distribution. Hülkenberg will be in action on Thursday morning, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and Magnussen will get the remaining time slots. With this alternation, both drivers will have plenty of chances to test in both the morning and

Thank god airplanes have more than three days of testing before they start carrying passengers. This is absurd. It does nothing to improve the racing, which means it does nothing to improve the sport, which means it does nothing to improve anything.
