Wow! Fantastic colour. Still not liking the design in pictures, but having seen it in the flesh I’m absolutely won over. Two things: The haunches which I find ugly and dominating in photos seem to blend in with the whole in the flesh and, also, it seems much more compact that all the recent V8s. I assume it’s not, they never are, but it looks smaller and really focussed. Love it!
I really hope to evolve my opinion the same way as you did as I have big concerns about this design but never seen it IRL yet. Will report when due.

I’m a designer by trade so I tend to have strong (and well founded) opinions when it comes to all things design, so a 180 like this is not a given. But as soon as I walked into the showroom, even dragging my pre-formed opinion with me, I went “Ah, I get it now.”. All the curves are a work of beauty. And it almost has a Lotus like purposeful compactness about it. And I reference Lotus in the best possible way here. Also, I heard someone (Henry Catchpole?) describe the engine cover as looking into a still pool of water, and it is. There’s a serene calmness to it. It’s quite magical.
I'd love to discuss this design in person over some beers... There's so much going on (for me still in a wrong way) that I would fail in trying to put all my thoughts in writing.

I saw it in real life, it’s even better looking. The color has a slight beautiful yellow hue where the light hits it. I used to think matte colors don’t suit the car but it was quite the opposite when I saw it for myself, they accent the beautiful lines even more. the engine itself is not interesting to look at. just shrouding and two large pipes. doesnt hold a candle to 360, enzo, la ferrari, 458 etc. i was disappointed. very large electrical cables visible.
This is my plan, satin PPF. Not only because it’s $20k less than lucido or opaco paints, but it protects the paint and relieves the fear of scratches or scuffs (or shines) that you cannot easily repair on those paints.
