Some of the photos have the interior look tan, others look naturalé.

The wear on the drivers bolster looks appropriate for the mileage on the car.

For sure. I pointed out the repaint previously (post 11123). Still, it pulled more that (rarer) the last few GTSs on BAT.

On what? The yellow Euro GTS now on BAT?

Remember, I was early talking about bringing Euros over. And what was the response? "Americans prefer US cars." ;)

Sold for $66k during Car Week 2017. Sorry dreamers; those prices are never coming back. I say $175k + fees, so just under $200k all in.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. Looks like a nice Berlinetta. If it was blue, easy $200k+.

That’s a good question. It appears a fender was repainted on the car. Structurally, nothing appears off based on inspection. Unfortunately, there is no documentation on the accident and the shop that reported it won’t spill the beans, of course. I’m tempted to track down the owner from that time and ask if he knows what happened. I’ve negotiated the price down to something I’m more comfortable with, so I’m close to pulling the trigger.

Oh that is SWEET! I had two of those, a 1995 Yellow F355 GTS and then unfortunately traded it for a 1997 Yellow F355 GTS and then even more unfortunate traded that for a 997.1 Porsche GT3 back in 2014.

I have now got the itch to get back into a F355, but I am trying to resist. I have been thru all the maint issues they have and have the scars for it if you know what I mean.

C’mon John. Don’t bail on me now :)

“Delivered new to Michigan in May 1998, the F355 Berlinetta presented here features an ideal enthusiast specification. Finished in the stunning combination of Argento Nürburgring (Nürburgring Silver) over Cuoio leather this Ferrari is equipped with the traditional gated six-speed manual gearbox, Challenge grille, and Sony radio with CD changer. After a four-year stint in Michigan, it relocated to Pennsylvania, where regular servicing was carried out by Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia. By 2017, the F355 was acquired by a collector in Southern California and, in 2022, a major engine-out service was performed at a cost of over $19,000, which included installing new timing belts, rebuilding the water pump, and fitting new Michelin tires. The consignor reports that otherwise the Berlinetta remains in largely original condition and is listed in the online Ferrari 355 Registry.

Accompanied with its owner’s handbooks, tool kit, and recent service records, this low-mileage F355 Berlinetta presents an incredible opportunity to own a collector-grade example in the most desirable specification imaginable.”

Good to know 30k mi is now considered low :).

Hey guys, first time in here since the auction and appreciate the kind words from everyone. My heart was beating like crazy! I was so bummed when serialcollector jumped in there and hit it for 135k out of noplace! I thought I had it bought for high 120s lol! But in the end ... 5-10 years from now I'm not gonna look back and stu over that 20k, I'm gonna look back at memories... lots of them! So it probably doesn't really matter. Might be a good thing that I don't feel like I got a "good deal" on the car. Most of my life I purchase out of the "deal" this was for love so it is fitting that it wasn't a deal LOL!

That spec is absolutely amazing in my mind and was for sure an emotional buy. I personally also love euro cars. If I was just gonna put a number on the car it would be 130k, but I was willing to go even higher than I bought it for because it was as I said on the form my #2 spec of all time. I wasn't really worried about the paint work after seeing the car in person. It was done very well and I crawled around the car to make me feel like it wasn't done for any reason other than someone in Europe thought it was a good idea to freshen it up. As for the mechanical work like the major, well that is just fun and easy for me. My company works on much more complicated vehicles on a daily basis, so personally putting this on my private lift in my machine shop and doing the major as well as any other little work I want just makes for a good time getting to know my girl. I have machinists and master techs for anything that is over my head so I'm not worried about those needs on the car.

I went and looked at the car in person before purchasing it and the pictures of it online don't do it any justice at all. That photo shoot frankly killed the true nature of the car. The interior isn't even close to tan and the exterior obviously isn't close to Silver (which is what the car going to Amelia is that was posted.. it isn't Grigio) I fell in love just as hard as I knew I would once I saw it. As I said though, in the current market I can't say I think a 51k mile Euro car that has been repainted, and needs a major is worth 152k .... but I'm not selling it so I really don't care. It's worth more than that to me.

Speaking of Amelia, My 18k Giallo car is actually going to Amelia as well and I'm hoping it does well. That car was purchased from a friend privately and has amazing history which is the only reason I bought it. I thought maybe my father would want it but unfortunately he has some eye troubles right now so he isn't comfortable driving such a car. I was able to let him drive it on a safe road and it was his first Ferrari he has ever driven. That was a pretty special day. Is anyone here going down to the concourse?

The Titanio car will be kept and loved for quite some time! I have plans for her that I am very excited about over the next few years. I will be sure to document my journey for the community as it's part of the fun.

I most certainly won't be looking at this thread any less... but it won't be to buy anymore.. it will just be to keep up with all the craziness lol.

The car isn’t blue, but a Silver/Cuoio U.S Spec manual Berlinetta could easily be one of only a handful. It’s certainly the best condition silver 355 I’ve seen in the last decade. Perhaps even best-looking. Hardly any bolster wear. Passenger airbag in pristine condition. Correct finish gear knob. Exterior paint looks great. Engine bay looks great. Interior looks fantastic. Wheel finish and calipers look great. Looks cared for and well-maintained. A beautiful 355 ready to show and drive.

I highly recommend OE floor mats and premium sticky work to top things off.

I don't think it was "worth" 147 as I posted above... but it was to me :)

Details on the car tho and I'll give you my opinion.

Thank you!!! Can't wait to get together soon! I wanna check out your GTS as well... let's do it soon!

Thank you!!! I could not be more excited!

It might have been fun to watch from your screen... I had TONS of anxiety lol

    Debbie downer

I agree 100%! Pictures do the colors zero justice. I went and saw it in person. When I get it I'll do a quick photo shoot and post some pictures.

Curious what rarer specs went for less recently? I just haven't seen any so I'm asking.

John, you’ve been huffin’ and puffin’ the last few months 355’s barely getting $150k.

A clean U.S spec manual Berlinetta finally appears on the market w/ mid range miles and you’re gonna bail on me now??

I’m just asking for a friendly wager :). You already know I got the over.

Educate me, what do you mean here? I thought the knobs were either chromed or satin. This one looks satin.
