Rob, that is a brutal question because it is such a good one. I am fortunate enough to have driven both, at speed on public roads, courtesy of a generous friend who is an owner (sadly not a member here).

The 275 is for me one of the most perfect cars ever made, utter beauty in form and soul.

But I'd take the TDF any day. It's just a much better car and yet still highly involving, indeed challenges you not to kill yourself at every unexpected turn. More involving in terms of drive skill, because it's set up to do everything super sharp, rather than the old task of getting it on cam, making sure you brake way ahead, and so on.

To look at, the 275, though the TDF looks very cool also.

Both brilliant Ferraris and kind of why we are here.

Oof that is a really tough one, could only dream of owning either. I’m a manual transmission only guy, but would make an exception for tdf! I guess I’d blindfold myself and pick one and be ecstatic about the result.

My two favorite Ferrari’s ever, would be impossible for me to choose. 275 is most beautiful, TDF would be most fun to drive. One of both!

    Not even close!

The 275 is not only a more beautiful, refined classic it will be much more valuable long term.

275, if the standard f12 didn’t exist then I’d go Tdf

depends on what you want to do.

for my purposes - rallies, shows, driving, admiring - 275gtb every time.

the tdf is a modern sports car and much more capable, but the 275gtb is a piece of art history that happens to be fun to drive as well.

F12 is a great car for roads that do not exist.

275 is history and art and a product of the labors of craftsmen.

Taking value out of the question, if someone presented one or the other on a long term loan and they paid for all costs (maintenance, insurance, etc),

I’d still pick the 275 GTB……and I’d say the same for every Ferrari produced since the 1960s with the only exception being the F50.

275 GTB. It's the only one that will still be usable in 50 years.

275 for me. Perhaps "Gone in 60 seconds best explains why"

I've been in L.A. for three months now. I have money, I have taste. But I'm not on anybody's "A" list, and Saturday night is the loneliest night for the week for me.

Well, a Ferrari would certainly change that.

Perhaps, mmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes... I saw three of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning, which tells me only one thing. There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money! Now, if I was driving a 1967 275 GTB four-cam...

I start from the principle that a Ferrari must be able to do everything, as often as possible.
So I would say TDF, a modern extrapolation of the GTO...

Its no contest for me, I 'll take the 275gtb/4 with the alloy body, having said that I do think the F12tdf is the best modern Ferrari that has been built.

I would love a classic. But I would be too afraid to drive it. F12Tdf has my vote

    Depends on the usage.

For concours and the odd Sunday drive parade, the classic one, of course.
For serious driving, the modern car! I can't imagine anyone wanting to drive briskly a car with 1960s brakes and steering, even on modern tyres!!!

This is a hard one. Like others mentioned I would drive the TdF but show the 275.

I voted 275… thinking if I had that kind of money I could still swing a base F12 to beat up on!

I think that's the point - with no limit one could have both, but for one having to choose the tdf would not provide so much more than a more mundane Ferrari in the real world. On the other hand, a 275 GTB and whatever modern (and comparatively cheap) Ferrari would be an exciting combo, offering opportunities for different driving experiences and opportunities.

Until recently I had both of the somewhat neglected sisters of these two. An F12 and a 330 GTC. The F12 was lightning fast, comfortable and great for long distance travel. But my beloved 330 GTC has been and will always be my favorite to drive. I can't drive the F12 anywhere near its capabilities. 120 mph is just getting going and got me my first ticket in years while driving thru VA. The 330 requires my effort and input to drive with fervor. In the F12 I didn't feel connected to the road nor the car. With the GTC I feel, hear and sense so much more. 100 mph feels and is really fast. At 110 the nose lifts a bit and makes me back off. But it's perfect at about 90 on the highway. Drove non-stop in pouring rain from FL to NC a couple of years ago in the GTC. No issues and was quite comfortable.

Sold the F12 recently. Will sell the GTC only after I get too old to push the clutch.

    My vote.....the 275!!!

No, 100 mph is not really fast. It's cruising speed for a Fiat, in Germany...
