IMO

Enzo fought to the top of the hill and exclusively rationed his legacy to attention seeker celebs and the like building a Winning exclusive brand.

Genetically Ferrari is OG Italian competitive racing confidence in a bottle, so the brand has been firmly established causing great allure.

If they Keep low production with high confidence, the market will keep buying "it" regardless of what it takes as its future shape.

I bet they will be ever green even if making baby formula.

The way I see it, the moment Enzo sold to Fiat, Finito.

If I want to be even more 'pure' I would go one step further and say any car that wasn't originally homologated for testing is 'milquetoast.'

It's a slippery slope from there.

 

Going public has severely limited Ferrari’s options. Many of us predicted this when it was being contemplated. At least with Fiat there was a veil of isolation from shareholders. Public ownership changes not only the financial structure but more importantly the mandate to maximize shareholder return becomes its reason for being.
