    Good morning.

I'm looking for any possible help in finding the owner of VIN ZFFPR41A1S0101040. My late father purchased this car new in 1995 and I'm extremely interested in requiring this car.

    1995
    6 speed
    Argento Nurburgring (silver)
    Black interior
My recollection is that it did not originally have the competition mesh at rear but 2017 BAT photos show it in place.

It looks to have changed hands several times on eBay and once on BAT in 2017 so I have some information on the car including pictures and at the time mileage.

Currently the vehicle seems to be registered in NY.

Does anyone have advice for how to go about locating the owner? I'll even take the off chance they have a presence here on the forum.

    Any help is appreciated.

Easy. Post a comment on the BaT listing tagging the buyer and ask him to reach out to you on a public platform. Provide your fchat ID, Twitter ID, etc.

Great idea - unfortunately based on VIN history the car seems to have changed hand several times since the BaT auction but perhaps the line of ownership can be tracked down.

I owned this car from 2011 to 2017. I can tell you all about it, however I did sell it in 2017 on BaT. I sold it to a Dr (or Dentist) in New York. They ended up selling it to a dealer in New York, who had it on ebay about 3-4 years ago. It sold, at that time, for around 69K. Feel free to reach out for any of my history on the car.

No one sells a car because it runs too good. Especially that many times.

Have you checked with that dealer in NY? Maybe they can reach out to the person they sold it to? Good luck! I've been trying to find my dad's old Dino.

A Carfax report could provide a list of shops which recently serviced the car. Ask the shop to search the VIN for the service history and peer over their shoulder for the owner info. Some counties will let you search VIN and owner info online to retrieve and pay tax records. There are many VIN info services on the Internet that claim to provide Title History Reports for a fee although that could be a dead-end. If all else fails, find a police officer or DMV agent willing to assist.
