The flip side is if you ride a bicycle in London you can do what you want, break all laws (no cyclist ever stops at a red light),have no tax, insurance or means of identification and nobody does anything because bikes are green.
Us car guys are a minority and the aims of much of the regulation is laudable (eg.the noise late at night from supercars in Knightsbridge became ridiculous) but the balance between the interests of all road users is certainly wrong in London at present.

In any case, the problem will be solved because there is no more development of the V12 which appears, or new V12, after 167 and its derivatives (or its derivative...)

Thanks for confirming but this first occurred to me when Leiters was publicly fired 1 month after the SP3 reveal, with no suitable replacement, to me, that sent a very clear message that the V12 was no longer important to Ferrari.

It is unfortunate that you have now confirmed my thoughts.

It seems Europe has become one big sanitarium with everyone on Prozac or Cymbalta and the insane are running the asylum. It’s so bad that these drugs are in the groundwater.
America is trying to catch up with the Canadians sprinting ahead of us at the moment.
One day it may be only the 3rd world countries that allow loud, altered or otherwise wonderful ICE machines to run wild and unencumbered

Here is an interesting reality. My F8 upon start up makes a very loud exhaust note for about 2 minutes. To my understanding this is all about meeting more stringent emissions standards and the car has a GPF to boot. So the more modern F8 is noisier than my 458. I like the exhaust noise of the 458 more than my F8, and so do my neighbors
Having said that, I’ve indicated strong interest for an 812, if production allocation permits. And for me the unique V12 NA music is one of the motivating reasons. But I’m not a fan of aftermarket exhaust mods which are annoying to the public

The problem is not making a car that looks and sounds good, but that it must have good numbers too. If not, the "uneducated masses" would start complaining about that "this McLaren or whatever is faster and Ferrari is resting in its laurels". You can see a lot of that even in this board, although supposedly we´re somewhat connoiseurs and purists. As Michael Leiters, the former Ferrari technical boss, said, "we don´t think that we need to put 800 hp in a car, but people keeps asking for more".

To some extent, I agree with the "uneducated masses": a Ferrari must not only be a rolling sculpture, it must be functional too, hence fast. So they´ll have to deal with the GPF like they did with fuel injection and catalyst converters.

What makes you say that? For all we know, Leiters might just prefer to live in the UK (he is the new McLaren CEO).

Yes, i think there is a high risk that they do not believe that a TDF or a 599 GTO is in original condition.
But it's also the point how you drive in the city, just normal cruising or aggressive revving.

We are currently too busy attempting to determine whether men can have babies to be worried about loud cars…. but give it a few years and I’m sure they come for them. California as usual is ahead of the curve with noise restrictions and I’m sure other states will follow.

What’s next? They’ll probably find some way to blame golf courses for global warming and I will be left with precisely zero “acceptable” hobbies.

I reckon the same people complaining about loud cars, are unable to count to eleven with their pants down...and a disproportionate percentage call California home. Before they're done destroying civilization, cars will be banned entirely, in favor of piggyback rides from the same droids providing free hugs and a wifi hotspot.

Someone on our local online group asked if my golf club was putting in turf because of the drought. It wasn’t enough that we were putting in eco zones and drought tolerant Bermuda.

This Roma might be a prototype for something other than the new V12. There apparently will be a new V12, but this might not be it...

I think this front design drawing by Maxime Prevoteaux (Exterieur Designer Volvo/Polestar) is well done because it skillfully combines elements of the 365 GTB/4 and the Roma. In addition, the front fits well with the current design line (SF90, Roma or Purosangue) and is still independent, simply and modern. Perhaps the front of the F167 goes a bit in this direction. IMO that wouldn't be a bad solution...

Thought the bonnet was to be front hinged? And I do not see how an "s-duct" can be integrated into a front engine car. And that front "splitter", so low and far out in front of the axle seems like it would be regularly damaged...

I wonder if Ferrari may be tempted to build a V10....quite honestly a Ferrari range without a V12 derivative would be a very sad event.

I agree with your objections. But I also meant the general design language of the front in the style of a 365 GTB/4 Daytona. So i modified the drawing a bit to make this clearer. The current design language of the fronts already reminds me a bit of the front of the 365 GTB/4. And day355 already said that the front of the F167 will resemble a historic Ferrari. Of course, he doesn't say more to protect his source... So what do you think? Will the front of the F167 resemble more a Ferrari like the late 50s/early 60s (= 250 GT SWB, 250 GTO) or more of the late 60s/early 70s (= 365 GTB/4)...?

So do you mean more a subtle air intake/mini grille than a big grille like on the 812 SF? That would speak a bit more for a similar front design like in the sketch above? The front fenders will be curvy but not so curvy like the wide round hips at the back?
