Any known SF90 Spider production delays?

Rumor production stopped sf90 spiders. Anyone with definite intel?

 

I spoke with my salesman this past Thursday. Coupe production is finishing up. Spider production is ramping up. I placed my "order" for spider in April 2021. I might get it by late summer. There will likely be more spiders than coupes. VS should be announced soon. The "longtail" version in the recent pictures is accurate.

 

Yes a few of us have been reporting that there will be more spiders than coupes with this car. Roma Spider March then VS announced mid Q2… going to be expensive from what I’m hearing..AF Car might be the sweetspot..

 

Ok. Makes more sense but also TOP getting quietly asked about VS. I’ve registered enthusiastic interest with my dealer.

I ordered my sf90 spider in April 2021 as well,my dealer has been telling me a 2024 delivery date, but he also said it might be moved up. Are you now hearing you will get your late summer, that is great news. My dealer is in Atlanta, how about you. Sandy

 

Wow that seems like quite the long wait!
I spec’d mine TM on Nov 2021. Dealer is telling me maybeeeee end of year delivery. We shall see.

I put a deposit down April 2021 as well. Dealer called a few months ago and said end of 23 or early 24. Traded messages with him last week that “I’m next” or “very soon” which likely means finalize spec in next month or so and delivery in September-ish. I suspect that means Sept-Nov, but It seems production is ramping for US spec spiders and it may be sooner. Frankly I cannot tell anything as nothing is ever firm with Ferrari.

I did atelier in June 2021 and had a deposit in well before when announced. Nov 2020. Told should go in soon as will my 296 gtb. May get then at the same time I’m told. Like my GTS and F8S.

Feb 2021 deposit for SF90 Spider. Told it would arrive likely Fall or late 2022 so I sold my SF90 Stradale - nothing develops. Finally, get word that it is going to be activated for production in October/November of 2022. Talk to them this past week, still not activated and I can actually still adjust the spec. Something is definitely up with the Spider production it appears. Not heard that there will likely be more Spiders than Coups though, interesting!?!

With regards to the VS - any thoughts on limited numbers or more Pista like production numbers? Will be probably be tough to get regardless.

 

Will most spider owners trade for the VS version? I know I’d definitely be interested.

I don't know when I'm getting my spider, but if given the opportunity, I don't think that I would trade it back in the VS version. My spider will be pretty highly optioned, and I don't want to realize the depreciation hit, when trading it back in for VS.

 

When you consider the original MSRP of the VS will be close to 50% higher than the Pista Coupe, that will be sufficient to ensure production never exceeds the Pista, I would presume 30% of Pista (rumored at 6000 total units) or less for SF90VS production.

 

May as well number it...

 

My TM spec is “released” for production … can’t wait to see the build

My dealer said things are picking up. Expects to see mine by year end (Dec 21) deposit.

 

I will definitely sell/trade my Spider if offered the VS assuming it’s not a crazy price increase.

I don’t believe tons of Spiders will hit the market as a result of all those buyers getting offered the VS. I could be wrong, but rumors are that it will be less produced than the Purosangue, in which allocations only went to Ferrari VIP, but likely more units than the 812 Comp. I would guess those that bought both a SF90 Stradale and SF90 Spider will be the first likely offered clients. I would not be surprised if they mandate some other purchase as well like being selected for the Purosangue or having purchased a Roma or Porto M previously. Pure guesses here, but I’d be willing to bet the dealerships will have less say just like those who got offered Purosangue’s and 812 Comps. I think the factory may dictate more so who will be offered the VS cars going forward.

 

Got my VIN, dealer said 8/29 finish date, should have early November.

 

Got the call today. Production seems to be pulling forward. I have a July build allocation. Not sure if that’s good or bad….

anyone have additional info?

 

Why should it be bad news?
I‘ve learned Ferrari are acting quite flexible - one could also name it unforeseeable - when it comes to the final build date allocation. It mainly depends on the parts available (covering the options) so as it could happen that a unit originally scheduled (resp. ordered) later was pulled forward. They are still a manufacture with relatively small production numbers. Good to know IMHO.
Wishing you good luck that the planned milestones will be kept. How long do you expect shipment will take until the missile hits your dealer?
