That's why I never drive in Switzerland. They are absurd!
Agree lost mine last year for 3 months but no impounding. Its impounded only if going over 45 kms over the limit. Vic that is.
My bad.... I thought it was 25 KPH to get impounded. Farkkkk I don't miss those days living in Melbourne! I regularly drive 100mph in CA and I have never had a ticket! The land of the free!
Cameras I dont worry about ( thats why wife's license if for ) Its the cops that tail you waiting for you to just go over.

First day in the 296 and early impressions are good. It feels lighter than the SF90 and has a nice crackle on overrun. No chance to explore the alleged "piccolo V12" sound yet as it is going in for PPF today. A proper trunk and more room behind the seats for luggage compared to the SF90 make it a more useful proposition. Electric mode feels fractionally stronger than the SF90 but not as torquey as the V8 once the engine is on though. The only thing I don't like - and this applies to the SF90 as well - is the haptic buttons. Nearly 2 years of experience with them and I still can't use it safely. I'd rather drive the Roma in the city to get the CarPlay touchscreen (centre console at last); with the SF90 and now the 296 you just give up on changing the stereo and listen to whatever radio station you left it on. Unfortunately they have recently placed a speed restriction on certain roads in the Northern Territory at 130km/h. Until recently some sections were unrestricted. Western Australia and South Australia states are very strict, although they are huge states....... Image Unavailable, Please Login

An interesting bit of cost cutting by Ferrari. The leather document wallet supplied with the 296 is both too narrow and too shallow to hold all of the handbooks that come with the car. I took a couple of photo's showing the ones that won't fit in it. I ordered up a Roma document wallet which is larger and all of the books fit inside it. The part number for the Roma version is 279431 in case anyone else wants to do the same. You can see that two of the books supplied with the car are taller than the height of the wallet - Image Unavailable, Please Login And they are are wider than the stitched seam lines on either side of the wallet - Image Unavailable, Please Login Here is the 296 wallet on the left for a size comparison with the Roma document wallet on the right. All of the manuals fit into the Roma version. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
