It does make quite a difference in the rear!

 

These pictures show the tail lights to be very bright.

 

LED's and incandescent operate differently the way they throw light - how much they light up what is around them vs. how much they glow. if you think xmas lights on a house, each bulb does not give off much light, you'd struggle to read by the light of one, yet they are absolutely bright at night. Also, you are looking at illuminated plastic rings, not a light bulb.

these are like giant xmas lights. they don't light up what is around them so well, but when it is dusk or dark, these LED's glow very well and are unmistakably and clearly evident and visible. hit the brakes and the brightness absolutely pops.

unfortunately, phone cameras don't do so well with handling the exposure of a direct light source against night, their pixel base is typically small, not enough to adequately define highly contrasting images, so in the pics the lights are stark. I wanna grab some pics with my DSLR next time, this should more accurately show what they look like.

 

Installing these as we speak. To confirm L1 means the left side 1st light and L2 is left side (drivers) second light?

This pic should be in the box and the wires point to the front of the car so L1 is driver side outside, etc, in a left hand drive car

That’s been mentioned a few times. I feel like it’s not really noticeable until you turn them off and realize that it’s much darker. Either way, I don’t see the point of needing visible running lights during the day.

 

I'll be taking mine off and selling them within the next week or two. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. They have worked flawlessly since new. If anybody missed out and wants a nice set for a good price, let me know.
