I just gave you facts that Hamilton has done anything that Max and any other champions has done. Its documented for all to see. Seems your arguments are feelings based instead of fact based. Which is fine.

Let me summarize this in order to see that I understand you correctly:
    • When I state that Max can make up a deficit of 0.2 - 0.3 s/lap, that is my feelings
    • When you state that Lewis can do the same, that is a fact

No, your feelings are that Hamilton can't perform in a slow car. That is your feeling. I have given you facts that he can. Therefore your feeling is just a feeling. You need to read F1 stats, instead of a debate book. Debating skills is for people who lack facts. I don't need debating skills. The truth is undefeated.

It doesn't make much sense to say that a driver can make up a deficit, regardless of whether it's Verstappen or Hamilton. It comes down to which driver can come the closest to unlocking 100% of a car's potential. The faster teammate is always the closest to that magic number of 100%.

Those who are talking specifically about Hamilton, well, he never really had to push toward unlocking 100% of his cars potential to beat a rival in another team until 2021. He just needed to be faster than his teammates up until that point. It isn't a slight against him. It's really just circumstantial.

In order to see who can unlock more of a car's potential better, and thus be the better driver, you'd have to give them identical cars. Russell is currently driving better than Hamilton, however.

Lewis did a fantastic rookie year in 2007 against Alonso.
    Period.
Fact is he never won a race or a championship in a clearly inferior car like Senna did at Donington 1993 or Prost in 1986.
He’s a great driver no doubt but not among the 5 best of all time to MY OPINION.
The Goat narrative is a nonsense.

He was recruited by Lauda. Thats an enormous endorsement of talent. He took a car capable of winning and won. Thats what they get paid to do. Nothing else. I dont care where he ranks or any other driver ranks. Thats subjective never ending bar talk. Facts matter - he was paid to drive and win if he could and he did. Not sure what anyone is arguing about lol. He gets paid to drive the car presented to him by the team.

Max does the same. Paid for a result. No good results --you are then released.

Quite the contrary. Max doesn't politicize or use F1 as a platform to further his beliefs.

    He just races.......

To most of us, that's what really matters.

Next 2 races will be telling, going from rear limited to front limited tracks. If RB enjoys the same type of advantage there in the race, he'll probably beat last years record for wins in a season. I expect AM to be very strong in Monaco though.

Interesting fact, not only does Max have several ferrari road cars for his personal use, his racing team this year is running a 296 GT3!

I actually love his personality. What you see is what you get, no mind games, no hidden agendas. Much prefer that over yet another PR robot.

Same reason why I loved Kimi so much

I understand. An ass that's honest about it then an ass that hides it. I would take the former then the latter, everytime.

The part I don't know is if the latter is hiding it or is sincere. Lec/Sai don't seem like jerks, but then again, I don't know them personally.

Is Ric genuinely a nice guy or is an act? I don't know for sure, I just have the philosophy that until somebody shows me otherwise, I give folks the benefit of the doubt.

My logic is different. If you are an ass, I don't care if you're real or hide it. Its a turn off to me. When Max curses at his pit crew or fight or call people stupid, that's not cool. After I witness that, I don't care to hang around to see if its real or not.

I think Leclerc is genuinely a nice guy, as is Sainz and Ric as well.

Same goes for Max. Some of the stuff he says isn't in line with todays talking points, but that's because he doesn't agree with it. If you see him around the paddock with just about any driver or even team members (also from other teams), they're always joking with each other. Max has been painted as the villain.

Max speaks very bluntly on most things and many take it wrong as arrogance. It's a wonderful time saver, really.

Max is easy to hate. Drives for a drinks company, does 75% of the winning right now, speaks like what can be perceived as arrogance. Compare that to say Leclerc, who is very much an underdog, who has a way of speaking that just puts people at ease more. On the other side of the spectrum you have Lewis who almost always has an agenda behind what he's saying or saying one thing yet doing another. For some people it's all about what you say and how you say it, the meaning or action behind it is irrelevant, and with that we end with your opening line..."An ass that's honest about it then an ass that hides it." Assuming Max and Lewis are both asses, I much prefer someone that's honest about it ;).

Max definitely isn't for everyone :)
