For sale: 1978 Corvette 25th Anniversary project. 50084 miles.

The first owner bought new from Frank Z in Dayton Ohio.
The second owner bought it from Frank Z after it was traded in. He moved it down here, and then locked it in his garage for 20 years.
I'm the 3rd owner, and brought it back to life.

    L48 350/350 auto

New tires, many new vacuum lines to the carb, new fuel lines. Runs and drives great for being a 45 year old survivor state Corvette.

Power steering, Power brakes, rare tilt/telescope/cruise control car.

25th Anniversary paint is a little rough on the horizontal surfaces. I put a carpet kit in and redid the smugglers boxes. Oyster leather per the build plate. Everything presents as original survivor. I have other parts that came with it.

    Asking $10k, Marietta, GA 30064.

Ha!, used to live right across the street from Frank Z in the early 80's while going through law school! Loved looking in the windows at the new vette's and telling myself...someday!

I see all the a/c components in the engine bay. Does the air conditioning work? Any frame rot?

It is an AC car, I'm currently troubleshooting through the HVAC system, all of the flapper doors work, but the system has trouble switching between modes. I'm chalking it up to 45 year old GM vacuum controls.

Here's some underside pictures. The frame/cell is in great condition, with only a little surface corrosion.

I took a look quick at the AC. There's no charge.

As suspected, the vac distribution block was broken. New part will be here this week.

Man, I used to LOVE these Corvettes. I was always kind of partial to the C3s - maybe because I grew up in the 70s.

Before I bought my Ferrari I really considered getting a C3 Corvette - I had a 1969 L88 Convertible offered to me, but it was a project car as well. I didn't have time to devote to it, but actually @BigTex made a few comments that brought me over to getting my 308 and I have had that car since 2009 now!

I have the 1978 Corvette that my father bought new for my mom. I was seven years old when it came home in November of 1977. Fun cars!
