    Not really a ''gotcha'' moment.

Drivers should be allowed to say whatever they want. What's wrong is being forced to say whatever someone tells you to say.

He's in the right that no one or no organization should silence someone.

He personally and individually doesn't voice out or tweets the same feelings that Hamilton or Vettel displays on the F1 platform as we have seen over the years regarding their causes. He respects their views.

Fair enough, I'm here to watch racing too. But if I had to choose , I would rather watch a guy give a lecture than be disrespectful to people or fight people. Today I'm with my co workers, If i had the choice to disrespect them and be an ass to them or to give a lecture, I'll choose the lecture.

    That's very nice.

This is F1. Physical fights or pushing amongst drivers have been in this sport for awhile.

Throwing the finger to a fellow driver have been in the sport for awhile.

Calling each other explicative names to one another have been in the sport for awhile.

You have an opinion as well as others in here that may not fit your opinion nor the F1 drivers.

Teams and sponsors are the ones who can set boundaries of what's acceptable, because they are the ones who can suffer from the excess of free speech.

And yet, your statement couldn't be further from the truth.

Max has gained more followers in the last 2 years than he has gained while in F1 for years.

He gained more people who dislike him too. Many post here on people not liking his personality. Two truths can exist.

Success brings popularity, and tends to iron out some unsavoury aspects of a character.

This articles shows votes on most liked drivers by F1 fans. Max is no where nere Hamilton's popularity globally. They have Norris above Hamilton. Absolutely hillarious to think Norris is more global than Hamilton.

Ya gotta love how the Hamilton fans routinely call-out all the anti-Lewis posts in the Hamilton thread, suggesting this behavior to be "continuing proof" of Hamilton's greatness (it's all that's left to them now, really) ... and then try their best to fill the Verstappen thread with anti-Max comments :p

Clearly, Verstappen really does live rent-free in the heads of Hamilton fans ... and every single anti-Max posts is just further evidence of Verstappen's incredible talent :D

Another nice stat. Max won 15 out of the last 20 races. Equaling Michael best ever score out of 20. Equaling another record.

    Again, i wonder what's next.

Surely we only had one race this year but the momentum is clearly on his side

I think this is a pretty solid analysis of Max Verstappen's personality. I appreciate and am amused by his frankness. I never liked his over-aggressiveness earlier in his career, but he has grown a lot and his talent is undeniable.

That said, it's much easier to cheer for Leclerc. I only hope we're treated to much wheel-to-wheel racing between them and Verstappen doesn't just run away with everything over the following years like he did over the second half of last season.

I'm hoping for a massive resurgence from Ferrari as well and we'll have a proper fight. IMO the next 2 races will be very telling if that's going to happen. I've said it for years now, I think since after the Malaysian GP in 2017, If there's going to be a time that Max is going to get into a dominant car he'll be near impossible to beat. The wins he'll rack up will be astonoshing...I'll take it for the record books but at the same time I said it'll be really very boring to watch.

If the difference between RB and the rest is going to be as big in the coming few races as Bahrain, he's going to break many records this year.

Oh I do fully agree. As a Ferrari owner, obviously I'm a Ferrari fan, hell in the Schumacher era I had the Italian anthem on my playlist. I do still miss Michael btw, a lot.

I do hope Ferrari, if only even for once I'd be happy, get their act together to provide a battle with Max. Max proved in 2021 you can win with a lesser car so Ferrari still could end on top.
As a Max fan, but even realistically without the orange glasses on, I think this will not happen but it would be nice to see him battling on the track more. Perez, even in the same car, will simply not be able to give him sufficient competition.

Will those records be lessened because he has the best car? I know you guys stance was records and stats are not important.

Oh, and if he does run away with everything, at least it won't be in part due to the FIA's favoritism.

Yes and No, they will be more heightened than say a 7x WDC title holders(6x during the turbo-hybrid era) or MercedesAMGF1 title winning variants during the turbo-hybrid era because:

    1) RedBull didn't get a 7 year head start before anyone and find the next "fountain of youth" formula.

    2) The FIA isn't putting forth rules and regulations that aid RedBull in its domination.....if RedBull is dominant till 2026.

Mercedes got the concept wrong for 2 yrs in a row even though Lewis told Mercedes to follow his insight and knowledge in the 2nd year of sidepodless design....really?

Ferrari..........well, they are Ferrari and keep fumbling and stumbling to find themselves.

So far, AMRF1 with the help of Dan Fallows and other RedBull engineers LOOK to have designed a formidable car. IF so, talk about a leap...from 7th on the WCC standings last year to move up to a possible 2nd or 3rd in the WCC standings in 2023.

RB have build an amazing car in an era where it's stacked against the fastest team, with engine parity for all with just a few hp in between them all.
