8CLT. A horrible car to drive. They made only 2 of them. Totally unsuccessful

Late Ghibli as in Biturbo Ghibli of the 90ies? Or the new four door one?

One of the new 4 door ones...or at least 2014 to 2018. Would look for an S with just rear wheel drive.

I use to own #766, a 1974 model with those wheels. That car still had its original paint and interior therefore I felt that having aftermarket wheels was not appropriate for such an original car. I returned the car to its original wheels and sold the aftermarket. I wonder if those wheels ended up in this car.

    Ivan,
I think that these repro BBS RS wheels are 17", hence an odd look because of too thin tires.
Would have been much better with 16" as with the original BBS RS wheels that were made by BBS for the Merak (and possibly for Bora):

Ah but ... the whole point of such am exercise is not about how the rims look. The original Merak rims are quite gorgeous but about goo performance tires for these cars. The 17" size yielded more tires than the 16" would have at the time. If Michelin would just issue XGTs again then original rims would be just great.

Another OLD photo from REVS. I think this car was for sale not long ago.

The Ferrari section has an old photos threat that almost every photo is at least 35 years old.

Well, it would be great if we would stay with the 1930/1950s-70s period in this thread.

You are totally misunderstanding the point of this thread. It refers to the age of the PHOTOS, not the age of the cars. It is about WHEN a photo was taken.

This thread is about ARCHIVE photos; a photo taken decades ago has a lot more cachet than one taken yesterday whatever the topic. See the more old photos in the vintage Ferrari thread.

for example here are two photos of the same car: the first Bora group 4 AM117-3000. The first photo is in the pits in Modena in 1973, taken by Dominique Drieux then one of Maserati's directors.

    that photo belongs here.

The second photo is the exact same car with little me last July in the south of France.

it does NOT belong here because while it shows an old car it is not an old/period photo. Now you get it?:)
