Oh wait… it seems to have a magnet and it sticks to inside of top cover of the box… guess to keep fresh inside?

So I’m confused.. is it actually a humidor or a box to hold the model and key?

I haven’t used mine as a humidor, but I’m pretty sure it is a humidor. I have heard of others using it as such.

Ferrari officially call it a key holder, which is incredibly silly. All new cars come with them as a free gift, and you’ll also get a scale model car.

Funny, that’s what mine do too. I have a pile of free stuff from Ferrari in my office that I haven’t touched since I put it there

Those regulate humidity in a cigar box with the constant application of distilled water. I have found that Boveda packets are just easier and less messy to maintain humidity than refilling those magnetic humidity control boxes.

In terms of the box’s efficacy as a cigar humidor, I’d say it is average. I found cigars dried out in it but I did not maintain them terribly well. The boxes are of a small size and I don’t think the seal is particularly strong thereby allowing dry air to enter the environment. I do think the presentation on a desk is appealing so for a few smokes at work it could make sense. Chucking those large humidity control things is not a bad idea. Just use Boveda packets. If you’ll never use it for cigars then they are totally useless anyway. Keeping them as “original” equipment is of no value. Ferrari bought a few thousand cigar humidors from a company and repurposed them as car boxes.

It works fine as a humidor if you season it properly.
