Has been the case for a long time. Every now and then you get an opportunity to become special but it's a very expensive exercise. Some that I can remember in the past 15 or so years:
    1. 599XX - Many clients went straight into VIP ladder after buying this car (there was not a lot of demand at the time due to 08-09 crisis)
    2. Sp1/Sp2 Icona - the no windscreen led to clients opting out creating room for some new buyers to step up (also why I think SP3 was 599 instead of 499 since they had to accommodate the new clients)
    3. Country specific opportunities like F60, J50 etc. which are very expensive so demand is always a bit muted
    4. 488 GT Modificata - I am not sure how much this one helps but given the price-tag I would imagine that it would make you a VIP client and the demand was again a bit muted
    5. Creating a one off special or buying an ex F1 car (not sure how the follow-on XX car buyers are treated)

Can't think of of many other ways of breaking into VIP without buying 20+ regular production cars and doing all sorts of events on top (or doing the challenge series or both).

Disclaimer: This is amalgamation of information shared here on the folder over the years

I think you can take that one out, you already have to be a very good customer to get a one off.

I do NOT think it will be a fixed spoiler but a movable one similar like on McLaren P1 and Koenigsegg Regera. I think the current spoiler on the mule is also not the final shape but is similar in shape and spoiler endplates.

Please have a look at my image below. I have highlighted 3 sections:

    1. There is a very hard (and very straight) cut which creates kind of a notched/negativ space just below the main section of the spoiler. It makes no sense to have this space from a visual design perspective it will always look incomplete except when the spoiler is retracted which would "seal off" this space.

    2. To further make my point have a look at this negative space on the side: it continues this indentation from the center section to the side and this could perfectly be the space to house the endplates when the spoiler is down.

    3. And just to mention the endplates on the top on this mule: it think they are not the final design because these endplates would not fit in this negative space but with a slightly different design they would fit in.

No retractable wings. Too expensive to implement in an existing model. This is just a stylistic refresh and a "racing" upgrade. Fixed wing, in my opinion aggressive and very little Ferrari. Without the wing you would appreciate the Coda Lunga effect more. It is the camouflage tape that confuses you. The car you see is definitive. It maintains the horizontal cut and implements the rear taillights with a solution similar to the SP48. At the sides of the extractor there are two openings very similar to the 812 Competizione

A spider is a bit more work and it's not that expensive. VS is 30% over SF maybe more - there is plenty of room for active and or retractable wing.
SF90 VS is going to the track to compete with other rear engine track models - unlike the 812C GT.

Kinda makes sense for this one to be a coupe, considering the performance is likely out of this world. But spider....

Is the spider without the wing? It appears that way with some mules running around…

Both of the models posted above have wings, but differing fin locations.

If it is an option and I get a spider I wouldn't get the wing. I'm sure though the ones with wings would be worth more later but who knows. As I mentioned before I could see them doing an AF package that includes the wing.

With regards to the wing - I doubt they make such a distinguishable feature of the car and important part of the aero work optional.

    Allocations -

Don’t forget, you always have people that have liquidity events (selling a business, inheritance, etc. etc.) that come on the scene and flash their wallet with the - what do I have to do to be a serious player mentality?!? Those people buy super exclusive limited preowned cars like LaFerrari’s, Enzo’s etc. that the factory does still track somewhat in addition to attending events, Corsa Piloti etc. all too while ordering all the new ones that we all think make us potentially qualify for the VS cars because we’re ordering. These new buyers end up spring boarding past others in the dealer pecking order too.

Unfortunately, history of past purchases or what your have on order “may” not be it. Could be how many you have currently and/or if any are limited. What will piss many off though is there are quite a number of long term buyers who passed on SF90’s because of the price point and it not being a special/limited car. That will make this whole situation unique potentially, there are some dealers best clients who chose not to buy SF90’s at all. IMO, you cannot give them an SF90 VS, so there will certainly be some component of SF90 ownership/order requirement to the qualification one would think.

In my country it was clear to qualify for an 812comp you had to be VVIP or be involved in racing.

Dealer told and and several other clients that to qualify for an SF90VS you had to have (not had!) an SF90 and not have it sold or currently for sale.
He also mentioned that it should be revealed at Le Mans and that this could also be the name.
It is supposed to be a very "extreme" car.

Having one on order does qualify you.
Same as me, still waiting for my SF90 spider.

The more sensible dealers don't play this game.
They reqard the longer and loyal customers versus someone that walks in the dealership with a blanco cheque.
Which is a fairer system as there are more 'wealthy' individuals than ferrari can make cars/limited's for.
So if you can pick and choose your customers, why not chose the most loyal customers/ambassadors.

I have always been told it’s current ownership not prior ownership, especially AF option tick box. Have not heard the Le Mans angle but would make a lot of sense though, expecting a Q2 release, but now hoping it is a Le Mans release..
