    Mom had one of those and a similar GP when I was growing up. I guess those were the fancy watches for ladies in the 196os. All I remember is the watch case was smaller than a dime. How could you even see the dial!

    ….and a lot of those “cocktail” watches had these thin rope bands. So delicate, it’s amazing any survived.

    Headed home after 5 weeks of vacation travel. I am the type who likes to stay under the radar. Brought a nice watch but ended up wearing my $50 Timex Indiglo for all but a couple of times.

    I found a Pam 233 manual gmt 8 day for my brother. Beautiful watch. I like its dome’d crystal. 1950’s Pam’s best look to me.

    It’s funny but if you said pick any Rolex or Panerai - same price, I’d appreciate the Rolex and am still waiting on my dealer… but would still pick the Panerai over it. I realize that is not likely the sentiment here.

    I just like the Panerai shape, size, dial, and features. And of course matching the Italian cars…
