Mom had one of those and a similar GP when I was growing up. I guess those were the fancy watches for ladies in the 196os. All I remember is the watch case was smaller than a dime. How could you even see the dial!
….and a lot of those “cocktail” watches had these thin rope bands. So delicate, it’s amazing any survived.

It’s funny but if you said pick any Rolex or Panerai - same price, I’d appreciate the Rolex and am still waiting on my dealer… but would still pick the Panerai over it. I realize that is not likely the sentiment here. I just like the Panerai shape, size, dial, and features. And of course matching the Italian cars… Robb
