Can of worms or can of facts? You didn't like that I wasn't in awe of Lewis' unmatched skills for the unquestionably crazy finish to the 2020 British GP, so when I dug into it, there is evidence that his drive to the finish line was about the same as every driver that did the same thing that day. Lewis, Bottas, Carlos. Only Lewis was fortunate enough to get a victory from it therefore it appears to be some miraculous drive, when in fact it was not. I crazy race in which he won, can't deny it. Unrivaled driving skill being the reason, I don't think so.

the lack of comprehensive reading at a grade school level from certain individuals in this thread is nothing short of amazing. It's as if it's intentional almost...

Its ok man, that's your opinion. Everything looks easy when sitting on the couch. It was Magnificent skills in my view. Magnificent. I repeat Magnificent. Again, wake me up when a driver win a race on 3 tires.

Why are people impressed by a driver winning on 3 tires when he has the advantage to do it? i have seen several drivers going on on 3 tyres, the trick is to be close enough and with a big enough gap to be able to win...now if we talk about driving on 2 wheels and with one hand, that's another thing, and i can only remenber one who did it!

Lewis blew the tire just after the start/finish line and had to nurse the car an entire lap while Verstappen was on a charge with new tires. Lewis had to drive the preverbal snot out of the 3 tires that were left inflated to arrive at the finish first. That Lewis made it to the finish line first is astonishing.

I just thought I'd drop into this thread, and make the (I'm sure VERY unique) point that Sir HamALot isn't looking so great now that the SuperMerc is castrated.

    But GOAT, whatev . . .

Funny how all the people who said “it isn’t the car” are now saying “it’s the car”.

The ones that won him seven championships were designed with his inputs; the one that are not winning races were designed without.

Not if it was designed with Hamilton's inputs. Nico beat him with inferior machinery.

    Sure. How convenient.

Did George have more input in his car? Is that why he’s faster? Surely if it was the car Lewis would be much quicker than his teammate?

He is no doubt talented and one of the best but now it is painfully clear he doesn’t walk on water and is indeed fallible like the rest.

Exactly. We will learn more about him in today's situation than during the years he had superior machinery.
