Carlos is still adjusting to the car. I think he’ll be fine. Don’t get the animus towards him. LeClerc is better, but not surprising. LeClerc is likely second best driver in F1.

While RB is still in a class by itself, I feel more positive about Ferrari now than before yesterday.

schooled him really, and a rookie in a bottom five car is nipping at his heels.

safety cars will help Chuck and Max….

I think you are right. We are impatient. We should await patiently until he begins to feel comfortable, I think we should give him two or three years more to see if he manages to feel comfy with the car.

Sometimes I think we are asking too much of our drivers and all they need is our understanding.

    Yeah, totally right.

Honestly its shocking that Hamilton kept his effort as strong and consistent as he did over his career. But you have to wonder, at some point does it really matter?

He should be happy. GR is both talented and highly ambitious. Good car and he'll be WDC.

Agree. DRS, probable safety cars, RB strategy, excellent tire degradation, and Max being the fastest driver in F1means nothing is impossible.

If the car isn’t capable of winning with Leclerc in the seat, it doesn’t really matter who the second driver is anyway.

As I recall last year CS was pretty slow to get comfortable in the car. In the end he could together a pretty good lap. Hopefully he gets up to speed much faster this year. I'm still concerned the car is going to go away on them tomorrow.

Not really; I just think he's not fast enough for Ferrari, a good lad as he is, but not good enough. If you want to win the title for Ferrari, you need drivers that are closer one to the other.

Fortunately for him, Ferrari doesn't seem to be fighting for the win, had it been so, he would have received far more stones than the ones hitting him right now as he would have been the greatest threat for a Ferrari builder's title.

I get what you’re saying. For some reason, I think Sainz will be a bit closer to LeClerc as the season evolves. We can only hope.

I was surprised that Ferrari got out of Q2. In the post Q3 interview, Leclerc didn't look very happy nor sound very confident. Everyone got a free grid spot from Max's car failure. I don't sense/see any improvement from the previous race weekend to this. I'm still feeling that 4th for the season is the best we can hope for.

RB will run rings around Ferrari tomorrow. The question is -- will Aston Martin do it as well.

If it weren't for bad luck ....

Sainz's run got cut off by a Merc leaving pit lane.
Second run tires weren't all that fresh.

Looks like Ferrari turned up the power for a few quali laps.
How much will they turn it back down for the full race?

At this rate, this could be the season of the race for grid penalties. ;)

Yep, Alonso is definitely taking the oxygen out of the Lewis fan bandwagon.

    It's Alonso's 2023 season.....
