When my Barchetta needed modifications, I took it back ‘home’ to Touring Superleggera in Milan, (Arese) and was able to witness the hammer beating taking place over a tree stump, in the works. Just like ‘old times’.

I assume/hope those "modifications" weren't anything severely distracting from the original design shape ?

P.S. While there are few others between them, your Barchetta & SWB represent the models I'd likely have in my garage (and on road trip adventures), if I was able and had to choose just two. Perfect bookends of an era. :)

Bev Spencer was deeply involved in west coast racing in the early-mid ‘60s. His son Roy published an excellent scrapbook type publication about his father, his cars, and the many prominent drivers he sponsored in those days. www.motorbinder.com

My review can be found at www.speedreaders.info for those who may wish to read it.

Did my homework on the subject and it turned out the car was modified by Bob Smith Coachworks between MM90 and MM92. Photos from Brescia already shared by Giotto. Standard of work is truly exceptional taken into concideration it was done more than 30 years ago already!

Yes when Octane UK publishes an article on any car it then goes most of the time but not always into the Dutch, German, French, Czech, Australian and Japanese versions (there might be other versions, not sure). If it is a Ferrari it might go into Enzo in France and Octane in the other countries.
