Agree, these folks seem to be I win or the day was for nothing. Incredibly short sighted. Max is likely to win the driver's championship. So much better for the other guy on your team to have a few moments of glory to influence him to act and talk like a team mate.
Completely tasteless behavior, but unsurprising, given how he has treated his wife and son in the past.
Max' comment about not being here for 2nd place sure sounds like Senna saying he is not designed to finish 2nd. Winners want to win, ALO has somehow mellowed out and been so zen-like praising Stroll and Stroll it's kind of scary.
While pictures speak a thousand words, videos speak a million words. I stand corrected and there was alot of flak on the internet regarding Jos not congratulation Perez. Here's the video that tells otherwise. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
Not so sure. Looks like Checo put his hand up first. Jos would look really bad if he didn't take it. Still looked like a pretty weak congratulation.
It's his choice to stand in the front and look like a sour puss. So you would have to ask him if it matters.
Is it that important that it needs discussing at all ? I think people are going to deep in analysing everything. F1 is about RACING !!
F1 today ISN'T about racing. It is about bureaucrats trying to control a sport, and about being so afraid of their own shadows that they can't make a simple decision in real time. At this point, looking at all the drivers...I think Alonzo is the only one on the grid who has any memory of what F1 was in its best years.
A 100% win rate has never happened before...and the more races in a season, the harder that is to achieve. First genuine obstacle I can see after Jeddah is Monaco where Aston Martin can certainly get pole.
My headline for the race. "Ferrari begins its charge...to the back of the grid". LOL. In reality I'm sad and disappointed, but you have to laugh because the alternative is unhealthy. I liked when Martin Brundle asked Vasseur something to the effect of "isn't it a great day to be the principal at Ferrari?" - on the grid pre-race. His response was that of a titan of leadership. Clearly a confident and happy man. Is it really that hard to find a guy to lead this team?
But it's the Team Leader, the Aero guy and the engine guy and those need to have a great team underneath, otherwise, it's extremely difficult. You can see what happens when a brilliant team, aka Merc, starts to lose key guys and then little by little is not the same. Toto is still there and what is happening?
Image Unavailable, Please Login "Humiliation". What a word to use. Apparently for Max to suffer what quantifies as a humiliation is that he needs to be sick, suffer reliability issues that puts him 15th on the grid on a street track, has further reliability concerns during the race, finish in P2 behind his teammate who had none of these issues and finished first and took his sweet time passing an old man in a much slower car, lol. F1 keeps bleating on about how toxicity is such a big problem. When you have the main journalist for Mexico writing utter **** like this, ignoring the facts...no wonder fans are divided!
