That was GREAT! Ella Fitzgerald! Red Skelton! George Burns! My parents took me to see Red Skelton in Vegas in 1967 or '68. Saw Ella many years later in Austin.
Just wanted to post something to change the title thread The lady in curlers is hilarious. The last espisode in the documentary about the history of Las Vegas: The 60's.
This just dropped on Youtube. The first third is a home color movie of Las Vegas in 1955. Very rare. Most of Vegas then was Fremont Street. The Sahara of course still exists on its site but the El Rancho is now where Fontainbleu is. Vegas Vick still exists on Fremont street but he no longer moves.
I've never seen it in a wal-mart - by me. But I live in the upscale part of town. Now, if you were in the one in Council Bluffs Iowa, all bets are off.... LOL

I remember back in the early 80's the "garden units" I think they were called could still be booked at Flamingo. Mr. Siegal built those. It's where some time share is now (Hilton?) and overlooks the old classic pool.
