Noticed yesterday when parking at very slow speed and revs. into my garage on gear 1, the gearbox suddenly changed to N (neutral) by itself and I had to engage 1 again. Happened 2-3 times. Anyone knows why?
(Heard from another person that this might also happen to 458 and 488, but I find it wierd)

I haven’t experienced this but I don’t think it’s normal and should be checked by the service center. Sounds worrying if you have stop and go traffic for example on an incline!

The early Cali’s were more prone to gearbox issues. Hope yours is resolved soon without too much expense.

Ok, I will try more user cases to better undestand the problem and then go to my workshop for error code read outs.

Mine does this, 2010 car, and I thought it was normal. If I'm stationary for a length of time in 1 it changes into N with an associated beep and alert on the TFT. If this shouldn't happen I should give my dealer a ring to get it sorted whilst I still have the Power15 warranty.

I thought that was the case, however when I look at the manual I can only find this on pages 51 and 157

During prolonged stops with the engine running, it is advisable to keep the gearshift in “N”.

I can't see a reference to it automatically selecting N if stationary, and left in gear, for a period of time.

This is using the electronic manual downloaded via the Ferrari App, which I'm assuming will be the latest appropriate for the car.

If left in gear while stopped for over 30 seconds or so it is programmed to shift into neutral. The dealer briefed me on that particular idiosyncrasy when I picked up the car.

Nothing like stomping on the gas when the light tuns green only to discover the car had gone into Neutral, and the engine revs up to high rpms shouting, "Hey everybody look at me!", then taking extra seconds to press the brake to then shift into 1st before you can press the accelerator and get moving...

After the first time, you never make that mistake again... :)

You should have a beep when it happens
Prevent overheat Wet Dual Clutches DCT when stopping more than ~30s (not only with Ferrari)
When stopped keep your foot on the brake paddle normally disengage clutch to prevent clutch overheat and stay in 1
