Have you seen the search engine on here? It's the magnifying glass icon. Type in "Lewis Hamilton GOAT" and you will get pages of it. Takes less than 10 seconds.
you do, but how many are pro LH, and directly calling him the GOAT?? not many, only one was pro LH on the first page out of 10, and that was from jimmyb, but he didnt say LH is the GOAT I agree with him.
I actually liked Hamilton's post-race interview after Australia ... felt like sincere regret for Russell, and a touch of humility. Well done Hamilton not-winning is helping to develop & deepen his character, methinx
So…where’s the post calling LH the “Goat”? Searching “Lewis Hamilton Goat” gives you posts with “Lewis” or “Hamilton” or “Goat” in them. You would know this had you actually done it.
Maybe my mind is having a hard time letting go his "should have listened to me" comments. But I heard another disingenuous PR interview that contradicts his own words. His typical thanking the factory when they have a good result. But it doesn't make sense. The factory have done zero developments on the current car. Zero upgrades, and supposedly are working on a completely different design. The current car giving him a P2 is the same design Lewis himself publicly said was a mistake, that it was wrong, and that they should have listened to him rather that continuing with such a design. Which way is it?
^^^ "Which way is it"? For you, LH is always wrong, disingenuous, amazingly lucky, etc... For most people: The "GOAT" discussion is silly. There's not a "GOAT" trophy, it's just someone's opinion or a media outlet making a list for clicks. For me, I think ANY discussion of anyone labeled "GOAT" shows a remarkable lack of understanding of the subject and all the circumstances/people's preconceived notion/people's lack of having an original thought and just following the herd. Which is why it's humorous that "GOAT" is brought up more by people that hate LH than it's ever brought up anyone else. Is Jimi Hendrix the "GOAT"? Many non guitar players think so, along with his dying too young. Is Michael Jordan the "GOAT"? Many non basketball players think so. Is Tom Brady the "GOAT"? Many non football players think so.
I hear you ... I just found his regret over Russell's blow-up to be sincere, and ... for whatever reason, whomever might be to blame ... he seemed to express sincere surprise and appreciation for finishing 2nd. Maybe hope springs eternal? Maybe I just keep looking for signs that he's improving as a human, even though the sun may be setting on his career as a driver. I suddenly find myself hoping he actually does win a race this season ...
What's your own original thoughts on Lewis saying the current car design is wrong and he was right, and now thanking the factory for the exact same car he said was trash? I can't say I agree the GOAT is brought up more by LH haters than LH lovers. Social Media comment sections suggest otherwise, and it doesn't make sense if the origin of LH is not the GOAT by the haters who never consider him the GOAT. My observations show people will label whatever driver as the GOAT based on a sheep mentality. Popular opinion, listening to a biased media outlet, dad said so, whatever. Rarely are these conversations filled with people who can form their own opinion based from their own research.
I'm always hoping he see sign's he improves as a human, that goes for anyone. I think he very likely wins a race this season.
"you do you" is English, it's not terribly hard to understand, American-english derives from it, which I'm sure you're capable of understanding. World is bigger than America and all that. PS first 100% mention of Lewis being the GOAT is post 248 in this thread, which doesn't include muted people. It took 20 seconds to find it.
I thought it was a nice enough race by Lewis. Honestly battle for 2nd and 3rd will be great all year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So, 6,243 posts ago in this thread, someone declared LH the "GOAT"? I said that it is NOT common (IN THIS THREAD) for the GOAT designation being given to him and you and your merry band use the term MUCH more than people declaring him GOAT. Which is true. PS. "You do you" is an advertising tag line...with about as much meaning as "It is what it is".
My original intent was about respecting him more on this forum… Statistically he has many arguments to be the goat. For me it’s senna. For some other it will be one day Max, Jim Clark, Gilles … All subjective so long it’s not Damon hill I’m good with all views Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No you didn't, you literally asked for a single post and then bragged how hard it was to find. I disproved that and now you change the rules. You're still grasping with the concepts of languages, I see.
I see we are mostly on the same page that its impossible to find out who is goat. Did any body search how many times Schumacher was named goat?
It would necessarly be less, simply because this stupid acronym wasn't used in Michael's days. As far as I remember, "G.O.A.T" was used for the first time for Muhammad Ali in 1992, but wasn't widely known until the late 2000's. Michael was already retired (his comeback waiting...) at the time, so NOBODY used the word in his heydays. Never, ever. And that was just as well. Somehow, this childish acronym doesn't seem right. Legendary champions like Juan-Manuel Fangio or Jim Clark being called "GOATs"; my,my; heaven's forbid! Leave it for the cheap hipsters impersonators. Rgds
Perhaps Ham has started moaning less and just knuckling down with the toolbox he's been given. Y'know, like all other drivers have had to through the years.
