Hello Everyone, last year my local dealer Ferrari of washington had the 296GTB driving demo's in, after hearing quite a few of my clients and friends tell me the car was an incredible drive i went over and drove it. I was amazed! Small & nimble with a much better sounding exhaust then any TT V8 Ferrari i have ever had the privilege to drive. I had never considered a Ferrari for myself until the moment i drove the 296. The moment we got back to the dealership I was focused on making sure they took my money to get me on the list. A few days later i got the call that I was in for real for the 296GTS (Wife idea on the GTS) I requested Atelier and they set some dates to head up to NYC and spec my car. A few weeks ago we made the trip up to NYC and everyone at the dealership there were excellent and treated us like longtime clients. If you're on the fence about doing Atelier or TM i highly suggest it. Excellent experience!

I attached The renders i did of my own spec before heading up to NYC and speccing it for real, Looking through the wheel options i wasn't in love with any of them so I talked to my friends at Forgeline and came up with a wheel that reminds me more of the old school Ferrari race cars.

It looks almost identical to what i created up in NYC Love Blu elder!

    Beautiful spec!

How did you get those wheels? They don't look like an option on the configuration.

Did you get an actual GTS allocation or the promise of one at some point?

The wheels are a collaboration between me & Forgeline, Have been working with them for years so we drew it up and they Engineered them. Will be lighter than factory and stronger as well as slightly wider to support a +2 tire width increase (More mechanical grip/Handling limit) I rendered it out with our Centerlock conversion but can make 5 lug OEM fitment as well.

And i have an actual GTS allocation not just the promise. Not sure they would let you go to NYC to spec the car without an actual allocation (maybe some veteran Ferrari owners can chime in on this) I'm just speculating.

Here's a few Ferrari's we have put on Forgelines over the years.

Sounds like you had a great Atelier experience in NYC! Two questions. How did you convince your dealer to invite you to spec your car with the Atelier experience - was it a budget number or what? What Blu color was your car in the pictures? Thank you.

You don't need to convince ...just request , you can choose by tailor made or atelier ...personally all my new Ferrari (812gts and 296gtb) are aspected by the the program

@FWF23 ...those wheels are perfect , actually my big concern is on the rims selection for the 296 .......I put on mine the carbon fibers one only because i don't like the others .........

Love that spec. I’m also already putting wheel choices together, and I like that same style.

Surprised you got to Atelier so quickly on a GTS - I put a deposit down the morning after the GTS reveal and while it’s in the app I have nothing so far as far as being able to choose a spec. Even in the app under “Configuration” it just has a placeholder rossa Corsa color scheme. While the GTB has my order.

Amazing experience and bonus points the Wife loved it!!, My salesman suggested i do the Trip to NYC because i'm particular and I regularly modified clients cars to do things they want once they take delivery. We also have a few clients that rely on me to spec their cars for them both at the OEM level then through secondary modifications.
The color is called Blu Elder, Im honestly not sure what the pricing is like yet, I got my official spec stuff back from them but they havn't sent me the #'s yet. Im guessing close to 500 based on what others have told me.

Thankyou! I really wanted it to give off oldschool racecar vibes! The carbons are great but as we found on my partners Pista they look small in person and the offsets aren't where they should be for an aggressive stance IMO, With the power the 296 makes it certainly is deserving of a larger tire footprint as well. so no real downside to making them ourselves, Much cheaper than Carbons as well.

I think the "spots" stuff has more to do with your Dealer & Salesperson then anything. Mine was very excited to get me up to NYC so i think that helped for what it's worth. (KC if you're on here Thanks!)

We love the FNY experience. Next time do the TM.

Your spec is amazing. Blu elder dances in the light and the combination is flawless. Congrats.

That said. Yes 500 is about where y’all be.

I did my GTS there and cannot escape under 500 with Special Paint and other SPEC options.

The best part they know your other cars and make suggestions and combos for future builds as well.

I’m glad you had such a great experience. It’s hard not to.

Did you explore the TM room??

I saw your other thread on your spec!, or maybe i saw it in the whatsapp group? I went through the TM room for a while, soooooo many really cool materials and options. If i ever get allocated one of the special cars will definitely ask for TM!

I wish we had the option here to sad face react to a post instead of just thumbs up, I was told i would be a very late delivery as i secured my spot almost at the end of the allocations but who knows whats accurate really. in the mean time ill just be making V12 noises!
