I’ve seen the chubby guy implicitly promote two unsavory ferrari folks on the only two videos of his I’ve ever watched. I know nothing more about the man, but I don’t feel the need to watch more videos.

 

Only way to save anything is refunding the money however I hear more and more that there is no money!

 

If by chubby guy you mean Adam Helm, he's no longer a part of Dan Hurlbert's operation, per Dan. Something is going on there because Hurlbert refuses to discuss it when it's brought up other than to say "he's no longer affiliated with the company". My personal interaction with Adam was good. He wasn't the most detailed oriented person I've done business with, but he was personable. I'm really curious what happened there.

spoke to Art late last week - i have my 430 spider down there getting some updates. i have never had communication issues with them.

My 575m has been at EAG for two years now. Art has ghosted me. I am demanding that they return my car this month. CEO Chris was supposed to contact me yesterday but failed to do so. I am exploring legal remedies.

If said property was handed over with an explicit timeline that has far lapsed, then the car is 100% technically stolen if it has not been returned in a timely manner as per a request to do so.

by this definition every ferrari restoration in history wld have been deemed stolen. my e30 M3 will be 7 years in october.

On a side note: if your car has been at a shop 7 years it’s because they have no desire or intention of ever completing it. I’ve been there. Cut your emotional and financial loses and move on.

 

Is it true its been there for 2 years? Was there a contract with a timeline? If no timeline, as regrettable as this situation is, that is on dhalperin13. I'm not taking sides on this but curious if there was a contract. I had my contract with EAG signed in 2021 with a specific timeline for completion in 2021.

 

Anything but straightforward, and I have seen this situation play out this way many times. The Police will NOT generate a auto theft report in these cases, no matter how long the cars is in a mechanic’s possession.

 

Can’t you just show up with a rollback and demand your property? Surely they can’t keep it from you.
