I guess I don't understand how it could take 2 years to convert a car. After I decided I wanted to convert my car, I bought what I could OEM and fabricated and had friends fabricate/construct the remaining parts at our leisure, and even then it still took less time. That's a weekend hobby, not a Monday-Friday business.

If you are looking for 100% OEM parts, then I could see it taking that long, as it almost seems like one has to wreck in order for that to happen, but for aftermarket, not so much.

i have never asked or used a contract with EAG or anyone else that i have used for 25 years. Contracts are rather worthless most of the time.
Not sure about @dhalperin13 but he will opine if he cares to.

EAG sent me a contract that was obviously used prior to me. I recommend everyone have a contract that outlines expectations and timeline milestones, no matter whom the contractor is. Attached was mine. My conversion was done on the timeline outlined in this contract. This is just how you should do business with any contractor.

People said that about CNC also…….

Ok, story time…….I once helped out in a body shop for a period of time in exchange for restoration labor on a Shelby Mustang 350 I had. One of the tricks in the trade was on jobs that were falling behind was to leave it in a lot of pieces so when a disgruntled owner showed up there was effectively no way they would be motivated to remove the car.

Not saying this is EAGs MO, just that there are ways

I don't understand how these jobs are taking this long to complete. Is it a parts issue mainly? I know getting some components are dang near impossible to locate..and they are manufacturing their own parts..are there production issues?

True, but when said disgruntled owner gets REALLY disgruntled that their cars in pieces, sometimes they just give up. That’s how I bought a Maserati Mistral :)

No, they are robbing Peter to pay Paul.

They held my car up for months due to a shift gate plate.

It got so bad that I demanded they release my car without it. They replied that if they did, it wouldn’t be warrantied.

I then said I would commission my own shift gate plate to be made off of an oem one, to which they replied the same, then no warranty.

Finally, I called their bluff and sent them an oem shift gate made of unobtanium. They scurried and probably (100% conjecture/my gut inclination and I am in no way stating as fact) had to rob parts off other cars to finish mine (I think this as another persons car who I was in communication with was expecting his the next week and then faced months long delays).

They then refused my form of payment (which was good for the deposit and all other payments prior). I was very close to flying down there with the title, contract, and payment to take my car back.

This is just one of a hundred other such delays such as a clutch I had made that they said they would facilitate and then after finally speaking to the owner of the manufacture after EAG told me they were back ordered on material, the manufacture said they had called twice and never made payment. I paid and they sent it right away.

I remember thinking to myself when Art bragged to me about driving his new M5 across the state to pick up a part at 150mph that this was all a facade. All show no go/treating himself first and taking care of customers orders second.

I kept quiet during all of it hoping that I wouldn’t be the one with the car stuck there in a million pieces when this house of cards came down. Truthfully, I’m very surprised it’s lasted this long, but after hearing about the dealer who pre paid for 5 kits, I guess it makes sense that there is enough money coming in and not enough people yet complaining about nothing going out.

best of luck to all of you, I think you’re going to need it…

finally, the conversion does not drive like oem, is very notchy, and mediocre in general. At the original price at release it was fine I guess but at the current price, the quality is unacceptable.

I can probably find you a personable surgeon. You may die, but hey, he'll get you a coffee & give you a pat on the back. Or a personable electrician. Your house might might burn down shortly after he rewires it, but at least he was nice.

Disagree.... if you are shopping around for services of anything, the quality of the person, or their facility absolutely goes into your decision making process.

Even if you dont want to admit that, there is always a human factor involved in a decision like that.

Reading all this reaffirms my bias against modifications. If you can't afford the real thing, reload and set your sights lower. I would never buy a car that has had its transmission swapped out.

The transmission isn't swapped out in swaps on these cars. In most swaps it is pulled to change seals in the TOB (or to replace the tob in general) which doesn't go any deeper into the car than a clutch change.

I don't think a company having it's business practices brought into question means that everyone who does swaps carries the same practices.

I could go on about the horrors FNA did to my car that almost blew the engine, but they remain the gold standard of service.

Yep. When he gets tired of responding, he simply stops. Like he did with me.

Update from Thailand. Chris the new CEO from EAG and one of their customers have been very helpful and we received half our money back.
Now we are waiting for a few sets of V8 kits as we agreed on.
We should receive them during Mai if no supply chain issues. I will keep you guys posted.

FYI we have a good team together now who wants to sort thing out with EAG. Please DM me so I can put you together with them.

I had some serious issues with EAG but Chris was able to help me get one problem resolved. He said he would help and he did. I would advise contacting him is you are having problems with the shop.
