Picked up a gated spider back in November but it came on aftermarket wheels and I’d like to get back to OE or OE+ spec but I’m having a time sourcing a good set of wheels. Really looking for magnesium for the unsprung weight factor. Does anybody have a source or set they’re looking to offload? Thanks!

Spider looks best with OE wheels.

There are no cheap Speedline wheels. If there were, I would have bought them.

I know I can probably find this answer on my own but is there a meaningful weight differential between the speed lines and OEM?

    Jonathan,

There are magnesium (early) and aluminum (late) versions of Speedline Challenge wheels. There are also replica versions out there.

See this thread for weights: New speedlines available

I have a set of rare 3 piece Speedline wheels that have been customized for more aggressive fitment. These were on Marc Arcenal's former bagged F355 and I purchased them from the owner of Period Correct.

Approx. 1.75" in the front and 3.25" lip in the rear, wearing Michelin Pilot Sport 4 215/40/18 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 245/35/18 tires that have date codes from the 44th week of 2017 to the 31st week of 2019. They can be re-lipped for fitment that is closer to stock, yet still fills out the fenders.

$3,500 - Least expensive set of Speedlines for sale, especially with usable tires.

That’s about what you’re gonna spend on them

I paid a bit more for mine so that’s a decent deal

you can find them for $4-5k if they’re in rough shape but then you gotta spend another $1k to have them refinished and you’re out the time and money to have a $6k set of refinished wheels vs $7k for this near new set

explain to the wife the resale value of the car drastically going up by having OE wheels, they pay for themselves.

that’s what I did except I have no wife and I was talking to myself
