I noticed the brake light flashing a couple of times. I thought it was the hand brake switch, but it is not that. Master cyl level OK. It just flashes irregularly sitting at a stoplight at times and pump the brake pedal it goes off. Master cyl bypassing?

What do you mean by the brake light? This (BRAKE) or this (PARK)?

The (PARK) or (P) warning is only illuminated by the handbrake switch.

The (BRAKE) or (!) warning, is illuminated by brake fluid levels (level switches can be faulty) and by front brake wear sensors (brakes may be worn). Isolate the (BRAKE) issue by disconnecting the brake fluid level sensor on the reservoir. If the light doesn't come back on intermittently. The level sensor is faulty.

I have the same issue going on currently. There’s a thread. Qavion helped me isolate it to my front right brake pad.

I’m heading in for my annual soon, and expect that replacing my brake pads will make it go away.

Do you know how old your brake pads are?

According to the Workshop Manual, the minimum thickness of the pads with the anti-noise plate is 7.5mm
