    Hey guys,
    I wanted to get some insight into the value of my wife's first ring. Am looking to sell it, but don't know what the current market value is on it. I am not up on gem values. It's a 1.01 Carat Round Brilliant, clarity is VS2, Color is H. Measurements are 6.38 - 6.26 x 3.95mm. Setting is 14K White Gold cathedral style. Has 2 appraisals and EGL Certification. Appraisals were $8500 (2008) and one appraisal I can't find at the moment. Excellent condition. Any insight into value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas.

    Thanks. I will try and post a picture of the certificate and the grading. It's quite a nice piece. Want to sell and get something one day for my daughter.

    perhaps purchase a new setting for the diamond, may be the most cost effective way.

    Or match it with another the same and she will have a nice pair of diamond studs.
    Ps. FWIW, GIA cert is the standard so the EGL certification must be looked at and evaluated by whoever is going to purchase it. You can’t expect the same value as a GIA ( industry standard certification) .

    thanks, but i'd probably get my daughter a pair of diamond earing or a bracelet. She's young (but she's my love) so i have time. Any further insight is appreciated. Thanks fellas.
