That’s the most revealing picture yet - so many aero changes. Looks like it could be incredible. Keen to hear the specs.

There's still time to make it 1:1, but the price is a little steep, probably close to 500M, you will be the top VVVIP client, for at least a week or two until that idea catches on

Image Unavailable, Please Login there’s more and more smaller bits being revealed with each shot it’s pretty exciting, a few things I noticed was the 296 style rear hip, it’s much bulkier of a rear compared to the SF90 and when you zoom in this test mule has different style vents to direct airflow,if you look at the rear wing you’ll also noticed it’s been fixed with a DRS option so it will have DRS too, not sure if the fixed wing and DRS will both be options tho. We also get a much better look at what’s going on underneath and along the side of the car with the side skirt, it has an aggressive flare to it with a kick out similar to the TDF and an inlet for air, most likely to cool the brakes. The front end is very much inspired by the Fxxk EVO and 488 Challenge, there’s still more to be seen tho, the S duct hood will be featured on this car similar to the Pista so I’m excited to see what the end result will look like with that.

Interesting to see the small rear changes with the tail lights and vents behind the wheels, gives you a better look of the 812 Comp style cut outs behind the rear wheels.

It’s hard to pin point exactly what Ferrari plans on doing in terms of units but with the arrival of the 499P Stradale on the horizon I think Ferrari will try to keep the lower number units for the 499 to retain value and stir up excitement around the 499 and the SF90 will be numbered closer to the 812 comp, giving you a middle stepping stone in the range that’s still desirable. If ferrari makes too few SF90VS’s it’ll compete with the 499 taking away from potential customers, but if they make the right amount of units then Ferrari can use the VS to make customers work up the ladder

What is this 499P Stradale project? Are you refering to the upcoming LaFerrari? Never heard of the Hypercar 499P to be adapted to the road?

There have been rumors circulating of a very, very limited 499P Stradale project, unrelated to the LaF replacement. I'm unsure of how credible those rumors are though, since it seems like a single person at Autopareri mentioned it, and then it caught wind.

Ferrari’s LMH car, it’s in the technical regulations of the class rule book. There will be 25 units made before the end of this season, and another 75 units made next year. 100 total units must be road legal for entry into the class.

I believe an announcement will be made around Le Mans or shortly afterwards for this car, the first 25 units are sold already.

I am not sure, but this rule was cancelled. It was on start when just prepared on new LMH class. Today LMH is the same class as LMP1, it means cars created on a prototype basis. Yes definitely it was amazing if Ferrari created something like 499P "stradale" BUT definitely this is not ACO rule of LMH class.

The rules were relaxed but not cancelled, teams were struggling to get power trains to function properly for street use and failing crash testing so the rules were pulled back but many manufacturers will continue this route of homologated units because they were so far into development already. The few companies struggling with powertrain issues announced their road legal variants would most likely not feature the hybrid powertrain and as for the few that failed crash testing im unsure. Toyota announced they cancelled their car entirely due to crash testing but Ferrari has been working on this car in secrecy for a few years now, recent patents were filed under the 499 project code late in December and early February by Ferrari which suggests Ferrari decided to move ahead with the project. I was then given some information the 25 units were already allocated to customers but I’m unsure how accurate that information is with the units being sold.

Nope, a street version is not required anymore. At any rate, Ferrari have publicly said that there won't be a 499 related road car.

Ferrari have also stated publicly they would never make an SUV or an electric car. But here we are.

Well that's comparing apples and oranges. The quotes of prior leaders of a company which has since seen a total shift towards public ownership and leadership structure / vision.

I can see you've posted several times about this fabled super limited car. Where are the test mules? Where are the prototypes? Where is the talk in the communities around Maranello? The F250 is at best 18 months away and already in a prototype stage that somewhat resembles the form of the car, and not a cut and stitch mule. In all humbleness towards those that are more in the know than myself, I have heard exactly zero talk of this car except for your posts in this thread.

The only 499P related car that I can make any sense of at the moment is F250 receiving a 499P "inspired" powerplant in the form of a derivate Tipo F163 engine that has its base in 296.

The Purosangue is conceptually nothing more than a taller Lusso with rear suicide doors, not a real SUV. As for the electric, I don't recall them saying such a thing, but in any case the legislation forces their hand. The problem with the alleged "499 Stradale" is that it would be way too compromised as a road car and moreover there is no indication of such a model being developed.

Jim and some of the smaller teams would never have the Funds, Means or Market to produce and sell 100 units.
