In the Aurora Collection being sold by RM Sotheby’s at its Villa Erba auction in May, I find it odd that the 250 GT SWB (165 built) is expected to bring a few million $ more than the 500 TR (17 built) There is no question in my mind which is more beautiful and desirable car and can’t help but wonder why the higher expectation for the GT model. Is it due to the 4 cylinder versus 12 cylinder engine or something else? No comparison IMHO.

The article is incorrect and misleading.
And one cannot compare a V12-engined 3 liter iconic 250 GT SWB Berlinetta (street version) with a 4-cylinder 2 liter open sports racer from the mid-1950s that has been rebodied.
Two totally different animals. Apples and Oranges.
