    I promised months ago to make a video showing this required technique for F1 bliss. Using this method results in zero clunkiness in the 1st generation F1 transmission.

    Exactly what I do with mine: just stab the throttle while pulling the left paddle. You'll get a rev blast that fits the shift, smooths the downshift out.

    My experience is the only way to screw it up is to mis-time the throttle blip. (This tends to happen when I haven't driven the car in a while.)
